Guest Guest_Jeff_*
I see an x-com apocalypse game on sale on E-Bay. If I buy a manufactured CD and install it on a computer with Windows 2000 or Windows XP, will I have problems running it? Or is this just a compatibility problem with people who download the software?

You will probably have to do some tweaking to get Apocalypse to work on XP, not sure about 2000.
Yawgm0th
Windows 2000 is identical to XP except for mostly interface differences. It will take work to get it working on either, but if you go from here you should be able to get it running just fine. Note that these problems have nothing to do with where you get Apocalypse. It will have problems on 2K/XP no matter what. However, X-Com Apocalypse is abandonware and its developer is gone. I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy it. It's probably available in peer-to-peer networks, bittorrent, and maybe even as a full download on some web site (unlikely, but possible).

Guest Guest
None of the X-Com games are abandonware, they are a property of Take Two and are illegal to download in some countries. All the X-COM games are available from CENSORED (Apoc is a 64mb download at very slow speed) and Apocalypse is also on CENSORED, which is a website where anyone can download abandonware for free. It's 84mb there but can be downloaded at full speed. Edited March 7, 2006 by Azrael
Guest Azrael
We don't support piracy, you've read my post, please don't post where these games can be downloaded from, thank you.
