(i know, not really exponentially). hey by the way! you guys are having trouble with bandwidth, right? (Micah this is mainly for you) well, there's this software which allows legal P2P, here's how it works, i think. everything you download from the net is, IN THEORY, legal, right? so this really works and it's not illegal. it's just speeding up download time. well, if you become part of the software's network, you actually become a mirror site for the download. say someone has downloaded the 56mb xcom3 file with the software. then, when another one downloads the file using the same software, it can actually use two sources. i've downloaded the file like that, and i had 4 sources. which means some people already use it. maybe we can all use it to save some bandwidth (therefore money) for Micah? just an idea. maybe it's wrong, maybe it's correct. we've got nothing to lose, only the download time. it's Kontiki. try searching yahoo for kontiki download manager. it's posted on CNet and ziff-davis, i guess, or something. Perhaps for some we could have alien social heirarchy like alpha, beta, omega (or is it gamma). It could affect the amount of information you get from them, perhaps, once you develop psychic interrogation... but I don't think that ranks in the field need apply for more than a penalty to psychology when the commander dies.
