[dipstick]
I think Mach would do nicely, as there would be lower numbers to contend with and remember - but programming it could be difficult, I don't know.

[dipstick]
Well, I had to screw it up I overlooked knots, was that used in the original? I have very little knowledge of knots, apart from that they're a nautical measurement. Knots seem a little unusual in this situation; they seem better suited for TFTD. Tuoppi
Knots are standard in measuring aircraft speeds all over the world.1 knot = 1.852 km/hour = 1 nm/hour Edited March 4, 2004 by Tuoppi
[dipstick]
Oh. I thought it was only Mach. Well, you learn something everyday.
Tuoppi
True that Mach is more useful when talking about speeds near or over speed of sound (over about 250 m/s). In military it is also common. Some countries´ military use km/h, m/s, knots, and almost every unit mankind has created... I meant that in civil aviation´s slower speeds knots are standard. [dipstick]
Ah, right. well, as we are the elite military, and we *should* be travelling just a tad faster than the speed of sound, I think we should be alright then.
