Ok, I've (finally) started the Avenger CT.
Again, no spellcheck, yada yada yada...
What do you all think? :sly:

[Avenger] Ultimate Fighter Craft

SUMMARY

The [Avenger] Ultimate Fighter aircraft represents the pinacle of both human engineering and alien technology. Boasting a higher top speed, greater damage resistance, both atmospheric and space flight capabilities and longer range than virtually any other ship in existance (be it earth-based or alien), the [Avenger] ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. The [Avenger] also ensures tactial assault superiority by allowing X-Corps to transport more troops and HWPs into battle than any other craft.
This truly is the ultimate fighter.

ANALYSIS

The [Avenger] represents the pinnacle of human-alien technological evolution. Finally, X-Corps has truly begun to understand the nature of alien power systems and aircraft components to create a fighter craft that outmatches anything known to exist. With vastly superior manoeuverability and speed, and firepower to match, the [Avenger] is able to fully dominate any conceivable encounter with the alien menace and ensure victory for X-Corps.

The [Avenger] looks like nothing else. Neither truly alien nor entirely earth-based, the [Avenger] is in a category all of its own. Most of the issues that plagues previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, creating a fighter craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no obvious weaknesses. While employing the same basic components found in any of the other alien craft, the [Avenger] design is the first to use alien technology to its maximum potential, rather than simply mimicking alien concepts with the vague hope of creating something feasible.

The [Avenger] uses Alien Alloys as its basic hull construction, however the shape of te craft is streamlined and enhanced to minimize drag and maximize efficiency. The hull of the craft was fashioned with combat in mind, and the sleek shape is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and distributing it smoothly and effectively along its entire fuselage. The end result is that the [Avenger] is able to take more hits and suffer less damage per hit than should otherwise be allowed. Add to this the fact that Alien Alloy skin of the craft is far thicker and damage resistant than in previous designs and suddenly the alien menace is faced with a craft that can take more damage than all but the mightiest of their UFOs.

In order to accomodate its enormous power requirements, the [Avenger] is the first X-Corps craft to be fitted with two Xenium-122 based power sources. Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, we have discovered enough about its mechanics to use Xenium-122 power sources as we see fit. After analyzing the problems and design flaws in the [Firestorm] and [Lightning] classes of alien-based aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully understand and rectify the power transfer balance issues inharent in those two craft. As such, the [Avenger] is able to fully make use of the Xenium-122 power sources to apply maximum thrrsut to the engines. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design of the [Avenger], the end result is a craft that can out run and out maneouver any craft in existance, be it earth-based or alien in origin.

Due to the overall larger size of the [Avenger], coupled with its extreme power capabilities and thrust potential, all of the troop transporting porblems inharent to the [Lighning] during its design process have been effectively eliminated. Able to carry more than double the amount of X-Corps soldiers as the old [Skyranger], the [Avenger] also addresses the major issue of 'no HWPs allowed' plagued by the [Lightning] craft. The stability concerns associated with the [Lightning] have been all but eliminated with a careful weight-and-balance analysis of the [Avenger], and the high vertical thrust capabilites of the Xenium-122 based engines allow for up to four HWPs to be included in the X-Corps assault teams; more than any other craft.

<Insert fluff about why there aren't more than two weapon pods on the Avenger, since it can obviously handle more>

One of the key differences between the [Avenger] and all other X-Corps craft is its ability to safely function in zero-atmospheric, or vacuum, environments. X-Corps felt it was necessary to include such a capability in this design in case orbital UFO confrontations became an issue or, more critically, if the true alien origins ever bacame clear and it was required to 'take it to them'.

<Insert possible stumbling blocks here>

Able to single handedly be tasked with any mission X-Corps may require, the [Avenger] is the single greatest asset to the X-Corps project. More than a match for any craft known to exist, regular service of the [Avenger] may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the alien menace. Science and engineering fully recommend putting [Avenger]s into maximum production so that they may be put to use as soon as possible..

Nice, but the Avenger isn't a fighter. The firestorm was the only fighter, the lightning was a transport/fighter hybrid, and the Avenger is more like a super corvette or a battleship.

Reason for why the Avenger can only hold two weapon pods: There is not enough space inside the avenger weapons bay for more. And bolting turrets to the outside of the weapon would increase drag signifigantly, as well as decrease stealthiness to earth based radar systems as well (X-Corps is operating without the public's knowldage, so we obviously don't want them detecting the avenger, right?)

Avenger research is needed to get the Grav shield. I think there should be a discovery while making the Avenger design, that will later be put to use in the Grav shield.

I have a possible explanation on why the Avenger is much better suited for long flights, even to Mars.
"We've only recently discovered how to make 2 large Xenium engines work together. The unique layout and design of the engines reduces internal interference significantly. It is combined with the latest in interfacing humans with alien navigation. The result is a craft that's much easier to fly, and can be flown for vastly extended periods of time. Our tired pilots will appreciate the ease of flight the Avenger has to offer."

"Bah! In the good ol' days, we had to squeeze into the tiny engine compartment, and move the magnets by hand!" Craft prototype pilot, talking to new pilot recruits. He has logged over 72 consecutive hours testing the Avenger engine prototypes, to great success.

Agreed.

Assault transport works for me too
(But a fighter transporting HWP was abit hard for me to parse...)

Consider saying that the Avenger is the first of it's class, a heavily armed aircraft designed to also transport troops. Maybe something about how it would revolutionize squad based combat due to it been capable of transport more material that helos...

edit:
Also, you might want to include something about how the alien alloy hull is manufactured differently from the firestorm. Edited by tzuchan

Then what do I refer to it as?
The Avenger Ultimate Super Corvette Craft? LOL. ^_^

Seriously, though. Isn't it too small to be considered a battleship? I mean, granted its a big ship, but I don't know if it quite warrents battleship status.

That's a good idea! I totally forgot about that. Definitely worth mentioning...

The hull of the craft was fashioned with combat in mind, and the sleek shape is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and distributing it smoothly and effectively along its entire fuselage. This differs slightly from that of the [Firestorm] in that more emphasis is put into the superconductive layers of the Alien Alloys, resulting in greater heat dispursion than the [Firestorm] could ever hope to achieve. The end result is that the [Avenger] is able to take more hits and suffer less damage per hit than should otherwise be possible. This newly configured gravity wave system, while very effective in the [Avenger] in and of itself, could almost certainly be applied in other areas within X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The [Avenger] is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Even though the [Avenger] obviously has the potential to tolerate far more weapon systems, the reason there are only two simply boiled down to the fact that there wasn't enough space to fit any more on. Engineering didn't really push the matter, since with the superior air-to-air capabilities of the [Avenger] as is, and the desire to remain as aerodynamic and radar invisible as possible, there simply wasn't a need to force into the design more than the two weapon pods currently implemented. Even with two weapons, the [Avenger] is still more than a match for any aerial confrontation it may engage in.

One of the key differences between the [Avenger] and all other X-Corps craft is its ability to safely function in zero-atmospheric, or vacuum, environments. XC-33 Vengeance
X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

The Vengeance Ultimate Assault Transport spacecraft represents the pinnacle of both human engineering and Alien technology. Having a higher top speed, greater damage resistance, both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, and longer range than virtually any other ship in existence (be it earth-based or Alien), the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. The Vengeance also ensures tactical assault superiority by allowing X-Corps to transport more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.
This truly is the ultimate X-Corps craft.

The Vengeance represents the acme of Human-Alien technological evolution. Finally, X-Corps has truly begun to understand the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components to create an assault craft that outmatches anything known to be designed. With vastly superior maneuverability, speed, and firepower to match, the Vengeance is able to fully dominate any conceivable aerial or spatial encounter with the Alien ships and ensure victory for X-Corps.

The Vengeance looks like nothing else. The ship is not truly alien nor entirely earth-based, heavily armed yet able to act as a troop transport, the Vengeance is in a category all of its own. Most of the issues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, creating a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no obvious weaknesses. Employing the same basic components found in any of the Alien craft, the Vengeance design uses Alien technology to a higher potential compared to previous crafts based on UFO designs, since it’s not simply mimicking Alien concepts with the vague hope of creating something feasible.

The Vengeance uses Alien Composites for its basic hull construction. However, the shape of the craft is streamlined and enhanced to minimize drag and maximize efficiency. The hull of the craft was fashioned with combat in mind, and the sleek shape is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and distributing it smoothly and effectively along its entire fuselage. This differs slightly from that of the XC-2 Starfire in that more emphasis is put into the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat dispersion than the Starfire could ever hope to achieve. The end result is that the Vengeance is capable of taking a higher amount of damage than the armour thickness would suggest. Add to this the fact that the Alien Composite skin of the craft is far thicker and damage resistant than in previous designs and suddenly the Star-Spawn is faced with a craft that can take more damage than all but the mightiest of their UFOs.

In order to accommodate its enormous power requirements, the Vengeance is the first X-Corps craft to be fitted with two Xenium Reactors. Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, we have discovered enough about its mechanics to use Xenium Reactors as we see fit. After analyzing the problems and design flaws in the Starfire and XC-22 Eclipse classes of Alien-based aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully understand and rectify the power transfer balance issues inherent in those two craft. As such, the Vengeance is able to fully make use of the Xenium Reactors to apply maximum thrust to the engines. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design of the Vengeance, the end result is a craft that can out run and out maneuver any craft in existence, be it Earth or Alien in origin.

Due to the overall larger size of the Vengeance, coupled with its extreme power capabilities and thrust potential, all of the troop transporting problems inherent to the Eclipse during its design process have been effectively eliminated. Able to carry twice as many X-Corps soldiers as the old XC-11 Condor, the Vengeance also addresses the major issue of ‘no XCAPS allowed' which plagued the Eclipse craft. The stability concerns associated with the Eclipse have been completely eliminated with a careful weight-and-balance analysis of the Vengeance. The high vertical thrust capabilities of the gravity wave unit in the Xenium-122 based engines allow for up to four XCAPS to be included in the X-Corps assault teams; more than any other craft. This newly configured gravity wave system, while very effective in the Vengeance in and of itself, could almost certainly be applied in other areas within X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Even though the Vengeance obviously has the potential to tolerate far more weapon systems, there simply wasn't enough space to fit any more on. Engineering didn't really push the matter, since with the superior air-to-air capabilities of the Vengeance as it is, and the desire to remain as aerodynamic and radar invisible as possible, there simply wasn't a need to force into the design more than the two weapon pods currently implemented. Even with two weapons, the Vengeance is still more than a match for craft.

One of the key differences between the Vengeance and all other X-Corps craft is its ability to safely function in zero-atmospheric, or vacuum, environments. X-Corps prioritized this feature in order to enable the Avenger operative capability outside the Earth atmosphere. It is inevitable; we need the ability to fight outside our atmosphere if we are to successfully counter the Alien threat.

Able to single-handedly be tasked with any mission X-Corps may require, the Vengeance is the single greatest asset to the X-Corps project. More than a match for any craft known to exist, regular service of the Vengeance may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the Alien species. Science and engineering fully recommend putting Vengeances into maximum production so that they may be put to use as soon as possible.

"No way, I saw it first!"
"Go back to flying school, it's mine!"
"Hey! Stop pushing back there!"

Hi folks, I finally made it over here. :)

Most of these "corrections" are really just alternative word choices and restructured sentences; the writing is already pretty good. Although there are many additions and deletions, it just reflects my own writing style and is not intended to be a criticism of anyone else's.

Also, I wonder if there are any conventions we should stick to, like using quotes around ship names (e.g. XC-11 "Vengeance") or capitalizing the word "Alien"?

EDIT 1- one thing I forgot to mention earlier... the XC-33 is supposed to utilize hybrid Human-Alien technologies, but the Human aspect isn't really played up. There should be some mention of human technologies/design techniques/whatnot for the Vengeance.

EDIT 2- another thing, should we stick to American spellings, or British ones? I noted "armour" in this text, but not "manoeverability" and other British spellings...

XC-33 "Vengeance"

X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

The XC-33 "Vengeance" Ultimate Assault Transport spacecraft represents the pinnacle culmination of both human engineering and Alien technology. Having Possessing a higher top speed, greater damage resistance, both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, and longer range than virtually any other ship in existence, (be it eEarth-based or Alien), the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. The Vengeance also ensures tactical assault superiority by allowing X-Corps to transport more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

This The XC-33 truly is the ultimate X-Corps craft.

The Vengeance represents the acme evolutionary pinnacle I substituted out "acme" because it has connotations to Roadrunner cartoons of hybrid Human-Alien technological evolution technologies. Finally, years of X-Corps research into has truly begun to understand the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components have led to the creation of to create an assault craft that outmatches anything known to be designed. Fixed a slight disjunction in the previous sentence: X-Corps "begun to understand technology" can't "to create an assault craft" With vastly superior maneuverability, speed, and firepower to match, the Vengeance's ability is able to fully dominate any conceivable aerial or spatial encounter with the Alien ships and will ensure victory for X-Corps.

Visually, Tthe Vengeance looks like nothing else shares little resemblance to existing designs. The ship itself is a conundrum; it is not neither truly aAlien nor entirely earth-based, it carries heavy armaments yet can still heavily armed yet able to act serve as a troop transport, all while flying at unparalleled speeds-- the Vengeance is in a category all of its own. Most of the iIssues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, creating resulting in a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no obvious weaknesses. Employing Despite utilizing the same basic components found in any of the Alien craft, the Vengeance design uses succeeds in realizing the full potential of Alien technology to a higher technologies. potential compared to previous crafts based on UFO designs, since it’s not simply mimicking Alien concepts with the vague hope of creating something feasible. Because our exhaustive research has yielded a comprehensive understanding of Alien architecture and technology, the X-Corps was finally able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and organized design. The final result was the transcendent XC-33 Vengeance.

Though Tthe Vengeance uses requires Alien Composites for its basic hull construction, the profile of the polished craft is anything but Alien.. However, the shape of the craft The XC-33’s is streamlined contours and enhanced surfaces serve to minimize drag, while the and maximize efficiency. The sleek hull of the craft was fashioned with combat in mind and the sleek shape is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and effectively redistributing it smoothly and effectively along the its entire length of its fuselage. This differs slightly from that of Unlike the XC-2 Starfire, in that more greater emphasis is put placed into the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat an energy dispersion rate that than the Starfire could never hope to achieve. The end result is that the Vengeance is capable of dissipating nearly 70% of the effective energy of incoming enemy fire, or in other words, the Vengeance appears to absorb a far greater taking a higher amount of damage than the armour thickness would suggest. Add to this the fact that the XC-33’s Alien Composite sheath skin of the craft is far thicker and more damage resistant than in previous designs and suddenly the Star-Spawn I’m unfamiliar with the term “Star-Spawn,” but this first half of this sentence seems to be a bit redundant; I feel that you could get away replacing the entire sentence with a short phrase such as “Verily, the Vengeance is a veritable powerhouse more than capable of standing toe-to-toe against the mightiest ships the Aliens can muster. is faced with a craft that can take more damage than all but the mightiest of their UFOs.

In order to accommodate its enormous power requirements, the Vengeance is the first X-Corps craft to be fitted with two dual Xenium Reactors. The following sentence doesn’t fit well; you’ve been saying that the Vengeance is the “pinnacle,” yet you retreat and mention the uncertainties. I’d recommend deleting the following sentence because it doesn’t really add anything to the description of the Vengeance itself. Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, we have discovered enough about its mechanics to use Xenium Reactors as we see fit. After analyzing the problems shortcomings and design flaws in both the X-2 Starfire and XC-22 Eclipse classes of Alien-based aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully understand comprehend and address and rectify the power transfer balance issues inherent in those two craft the XC-33’s predecessors. As such, the Vengeance is able to fully make full use of the both Xenium Reactors to apply provide maximum thrust to the engines. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design of the Vengeance, the end ultimate result is a craft that can out_run and out_maneuver any craft in existence, be it Earth they terrestrial or Alien in origin.

Due to the overall larger size of the Vengeance, coupled with its and extreme power capabilities and thrust potential of the Vengeance, virtually all problems inherent in the Eclipse design regarding of the troop transporting problems inherent to the Eclipse during its design process have been were effectively eliminated. Consequently, the XC-33 is Aable to carry twice as many X-Corps soldiers as than the old XC-11 Condor,. tThe Vengeance also addresses the a major stability issue of ‘no XCAPS allowed' which plagued the that prevented Eclipse-class craft from carrying XCAPS. The stability concerns associated with the Eclipse have been completely eliminated with a careful weight-and-balance analysis of the Vengeance. Additionally, Tthe high vertical thrust capabilities of the new Am I saying this correctly? gravity wave unit in the Xenium-122-based engines allow for up to four XCAPS to be included in the support X-Corps assault teams; more than any other craft. This newly configured gravity wave system, while very effective used to great effect in the Vengeance in and of itself, could almost certainly be applied in other areas might have other applications within the X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Even though the Vengeance obviously has the potential to tolerate far more weapon systems, there simply wasn't enough space to fit any more on. Although structurally, the Vengeance can easily tolerate additional weapons systems, Engineering focused instead on maximizing transport volume to provide our ground squads with the maximum XCAPS support, effectively balancing the Vengeance’s air superiority capabilities with ground superiority potential. didn't really push the matter, since with the superior air-to-air capabilities of the Vengeance as it is, and the desire to remain as aerodynamic and radar invisible as possible, there simply wasn't a need to force into the design more than the two weapon pods currently implemented. Even with two weapons, the Vengeance’s specifications are quite impressive, and it is still more than a match for existing craft. I changed the explanation behind the “two weapon pods” because I felt that the X-Corps was trying to create the “ultimate” ship to combat aliens, and their “not pushing the matter” didn’t seem appropriate for the Vengeance. Instead, I played up the greater XCAPS transport ability as an alternative reason.

Another One of the key differences between the Vengeance and all other X-Corps craft is its ability to safely function in navigate in a zero-atmospheric, or vacuum, environments. X-Corps prioritized tThis feature was prioritized in order to enable the Avenger operative capability outside the Earth atmosphere to empower the X-Corps to switch from a defensive posture to an offensive one. It is inevitable; we need the ability to fight outside our atmosphere if we are to successfully counter the Alien threat. Inevitably, we will have to take the fight to the Aliens in order to end their incursions on Earth, and the Vengeance is our ticket there. I know this end sentence is a little hokey...

Able to single-handedly be tasked with accomplish any mission the X-Corps may require, the Vengeance is the single greatest asset to the X-Corps project. More than a match for any craft known to exist With unparalleled capabilities, regular service deployment of the Vengeance may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the Alien species. Science and eEngineering both fully recommend putting Vengeances into maximum production so that they may be put to use as soon as possible ramping up the production of the Vengeance to hasten their implementation.

XC-33 VENGEANCE
X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

The XC-33 "Vengeance" Ultimate Assault Transport spacecraft represents the pinnacle culmination of both human engineering and Alien technology. Possessing a higher top speed, greater damage resistance, both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, and longer action range than virtually any other ship in existence, be it Earth or Alien-based, the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. The Vengeance also ensures tactical assault superiority by allowing X-Corps to transport more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

The XC-33 truly is the ultimate X-Corps craft.

The Vengeance represents the evolutionary pinnacle of hybrid Human-Alien technology. Finally, X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components have led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches all known craft. With vastly superior maneuverability, speed, and firepower to match, the Vengeance's ability to successfully dominate any conceivable aerial or spatial encounter with Alien ships has brought victory closer than it has ever been.

Visually, the Vengeance shares little resemblance with existing designs. The ship itself is unique in its type; it is neither truly Alien nor entirely Earth-based, it carries heavy armament yet still serves as a troop transport very superior to our old XC-11 and even the more recent XC-22, all while flying at unparalleled speeds; the Vengeance is in a category all of its own. Issues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, resulting in a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no obvious weaknesses. Despite utilizing the same basic components found in any Alien craft, the Vengeance design succeeds in making use of Alien technology to a much higher potential compared to previous crafts based on UFO designs. As our exhaustive research has yielded a complete and thorough understanding of Alien architecture and technology, the X-Corps have finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance.

The Vengeance requires Alien Composites for its basic hull construction, our now deep understanding of the Composites’ applications in air/spacecraft technology has allowed us to make use of them and their special properties more effectively in which regards hull design. The XC-33’s streamlined contours and enhanced surfaces serve to minimize drag, while the sleek hull of the craft is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and effectively redistributing along the entire length of its fuselage. Unlike the XC-2 Starfire, greater emphasis is placed on the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat dispersion than the Starfire could never hope to achieve. The end result is the Vengeance being capable of dissipating most of the effective energy of incoming enemy fire, or in other words, the Vengeance can absorb a far greater amount of damage than the armor thickness would suggest.

In order to accommodate its enormous power requirements, the Vengeance is the first X-Corps craft to be fitted with dual Xenium Reactors. Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, we have discovered enough about its mechanics to use Xenium Reactors as we see fit. After analyzing the shortcomings and design flaws in both the XC-2 Starfire and XC-22 Eclipse classes of Alien-based aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully address and rectify the power transfer balance issues inherent in the XC-33’s predecessors. As such, the Vengeance is able to make full use of the Xenium Reactors to gain maximum thrust. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design of the Vengeance, the ultimate result is a craft that can outrun and outmaneuver any craft in existence, be it Human or Alien in origin.

Due to the overall larger size and extreme thrust potential, virtually all problems inherent in the Eclipse design regarding troop transport were effectively eliminated. Consequently, the XC-33 is able to carry twice as many X-Corps soldiers as the old XC-11 Condor. The Vengeance also addresses a major stability issue that prevented the XC-22 craft from carrying XCAPS. Additionally, the high vertical thrust capabilities of the gravity wave unit in the Xenium-based engines allow up to four XCAPS to support X-Corps assault teams; more than any other craft. This newly configured gravity wave system, while used to great effect in the Vengeance might have other applications within the X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Just so you guys know, I am a proofread-aholic, I often revise, re-revise, and re-re-revise things, sometimes changing things back to their original state, so I'm sure I'll get on fine around here. :)

Anyway, here are a few things I picked out. Red text denotes additions, orange text denotes deletions (gray is hard to see), and blue text denotes comments.

Guys,

Technically, the Vengance does not have a longer range than ANY alien ship.

According to Zombie, all alien ships have unlimited range.

Also, putting the "both atmospheric and space flight capabilites" between all the other "better than" terms. So, I think the paragraph would go

Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range of any terrestrial ship, and the highest top speed and greatest damage resistance of any ship, terrestrial or Alien, in existence.

The XC-33 "Vengeance" Ultimate Assault Transport spacecraft represents the culmination of both Human engineering and Alien technology. Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range of any terrestrial ship, and the highest top speed and greatest damage resistance of any ship, terrestrial or Alien in existence, the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies.

The Vengeance requires Alien Composites for its basic hull construction, and our now deep understanding of the Composites’ applications in air/spacecraft technology has allowed us to employ their special properties more efficiently with regards to hull design. The XC-33’s streamlined contours and enhanced surfaces serve to minimize drag, while the sleek hull of the craft is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and redistributing along the entire length of the fuselage. Unlike the XC-2 Starfire, greater emphasis is placed on the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat dispersion than the Starfire could never hope to achieve. In actuality, the Vengeance's deceptively thin sheath of armor belies its extensive damage absorption potential, since much of the effective energy of incoming enemy fire is dissipated harmlessly.

In order to accommodate its enormous power requirements, the Vengeance is the first X-Corps craft to be fitted with dual Xenium Reactors. Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, what we have discovered about its mechanics allows us to use Xenium Reactors quite effectively. The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Although structurally the Vengeance can easily tolerate additional weapons systems hardpoints, Engineering focused instead on maximizing transport volume to provide our ground squads with the maximum more XCAP support, effectively balancing the Vengeance’s air superiority capabilities with ground superiority potential. Even with only two weapons, the Vengeance’s specifications remain quite impressive, and it is still more than a match for existing craft.

Another key difference between the Vengeance and other X-Corps craft is its ability to safely function in a zero-gravity vacuum. This feature was prioritized in order to ensure the Vengeance’s operative capabilities in all environments, particularly extraterrestrial ones, thus allowing the X-Corps to switch from a purely defensive posture to an offensive one. It is inevitable; we need the ability to fight outside our atmosphere if we are to successfully counter the Alien threat.

Able to single-handedly accomplish any mission the X-Corps may require, the Vengeance is the single greatest asset to the Xenocide Project. With unmatched capabilities, regular deployment of the Vengeance may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the Alien species. Science and Engineering both recommend ramping up the production of the Vengeance to hasten their implementation.

I took dteviots change into account, but that sentence still needs some work. Otherwise, this text reads pretty good. :)

XC-33 VENGEANCE

X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

The XC-33 "Vengeance" Ultimate Assault Transport spacecraft represents the culmination of both Human engineering and Alien technology. Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range of any terrestrial ship, and the highest top speed and greatest damage resistance of any ship, terrestrial or Alien in existence, the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. Proposed rewording: Posessing both, atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range within the terrestrial forces combined with top speed and damage capabilities outclassing any known ships - terrestrial or Alien provenience - the Venegance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies.

The Vengeance also ensures provides great tactical assault superiority by allowing X-Corps to transport of more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

The XC-33 truly is the ultimate X-Corps craft.

The Vengeance represents the evolutionary pinnacle of hybrid Human-Alien technology. X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components have has? led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches all known craft. With vastly superior maneuverability, speed, and firepower actually it's firepower is not better than that of the XC-1 to match, the Vengeance's ability to successfully dominate any conceivable aerial or spatial is this word correct in this context? encounter with Alien ships has brought victory closer than it has ever been.

Visually, the Vengeance shares little resemblance with existing designs. The ship itself is unique in its type; it is neither truly Alien nor entirely Earth-based, it carries heavy armament yet still serves as a troop transport far superior to our old XC-11 and even the more recently developed XC-22, all while flying at unparalleled speeds; the Vengeance is in a category all of its own.Needs rewording. Just can't think of anything right now Issues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, resulting in a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no obvious weaknesses. Despite utilizing the same basic components found in any Alien craft, the Vengeance design succeeds in making use of Alien technology to a much higher potential compared to previous crafts based on UFO designs. As our exhaustive extensive? research has yielded a complete and thorough understanding of Alien architecture and technology, the X-Corps have finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance.

Due to the overall larger size and extreme thrust potential, virtually all problems in the Eclipse design regarding troop transport were effectively eliminated. This newly configured gravity wave system, while used to great effect in the Vengeance, might have other applications within the X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Although structurally the Vengeance can easily tolerate additional weapon hardpoints, Engineering focused instead on maximizing transport volume to provide our ground squads with more XCAP support, effectively balancing the Vengeance’s air superiority capabilities with ground superiority potential. Even with only two weapons, the Vengeance’s specifications remain quite impressive, and it is still more than a match for existing craft.

It is inevitable; we need the ability to fight outside our atmosphere if we are to successfully counter the Alien threat.

Able to single-handedly accomplish any mission the X-Corps may require, the Vengeance is the single greatest asset to the Xenocide Projectsounds nice, but is only our working title. I would recommend usage of X-Corps or sth in tle lines of "earth defense". With unmatched capabilities, regular deployment of the Vengeance may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the Alien species. Science and Engineering both recommend ramping up the production of the Vengeance to hasten their implementation.

I think it is like: "The Aliens eat alien burgers". So, it should be "alien technology" imo

Mechanics feels right for me.
My bad, mechanics fits perfectly (well I haven't though of anything better anyway xD)

I agree with your changes, nothing comes to my mind now, let's wait for more comments

XC-33 VENGEANCE

X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range within the terrestrial forces combined with top speed and damage capabilities as i said, read the first couple of drafts and this seems to have changed the original meaning (may be a good thing or not)but IMO something that combines top speed and damage capabilities doesn't really make...nnot so much as sense but not perhaps is not crystal clear? Does it mean the amount of damage the carft can inflict (really depends on what you arm her with) or how much damage she can withstand? I'm sure you all (and i really,) know what you mean but should we be considering catering for the not so crystal ball like minded people? Just a suggestion as are all of my inputs outclassing any known ships - terrestrial or Alien provenience - the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. It also provides great tactical superiority by allowing transportation of more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components has led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches outclasses? all known designs. With vastly superior maneuverability and speed, the Vengeance's ability to successfully dominate any conceivable aerial encounter with Alien ships has brought victory closer than it has ever been. Two things, In my very early and unknowledgable days of playing xcom, I remember arming my avenger with a fusion cannon and stingray missiles and downing a few battleships before one fateful day my avenger was blown apart. Some other inexperienced player(maybe not :P) may arm the Vengance with something similar and decide that the Vengeance does not succesfully dominate any conceivable aerial encounter. Also and imo domination is when big bossman walks into the ring at the 1996/7 road to wrestlemania and gets pinned by the rock (Rocky Maivia who later won the ICC hahaha sorry) in 8 seconds. Dominated, completely. When my avenger armed with dual plasma cannons still takes considerable damage (as it sometimes does) from a battleship and needs to spend half a month or longer on repairs, to me that just aint domination. Secondly and possibly even further away from the track, in the original (or really stories i have read, CT from xcomufo.com/stories and even the original martian solution or something similar (it is obvious we are losing this fight...)) Victory never seemed certain or even close. I think i remember the mars trip as being a long shot even and cant quite see victory ever seeming close or certain. Seems extremely optimistic (perhaps propoganda reports) when i thought the outlook for humanity was very bleak. You get my drift? maybe maybe not?

As our extensive research has yielded propoposed rephrasing ;) Perhaps..."Our extensive research has yielded a complete...." or "As our extensive research continues to yield..." does that even work? probally not. Hmm... kind of ruins everything doesnt it... The first part of the sentence doesnt feel right to me, any comments? Or me = full of doggy doo a complete and thorough understanding of alien architecture and technology, the X-Corps haves finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance. Despite utilizing the same basic components Are the components really basic? Do we mean alien components or is it composits? Or generally the same basic navigation and power systems? or am i just ruining good ct's ;) found in any Alien craft, the XC-33 design succeeds in making use of Alien technology to a much higher potential compared to that of previous crafts based upon UFO designs. ***Visually, the Vengeance shares little resemblance with existing designs. This one seems kind of odd just stuck in there, almost like it needs expanding. Possibly not descibe it (as there will be a picture ;) of it) but perhaps explain why it is visually different or for what purposes, or maybe remove it? It represents the evolutionary pinnacle of hybrid Human-Alien technology, a unique mixture of both worlds. Its durability, speed and space-efficient design not only makes it the ideal assault craft, but also grants superior transport capabilities why? obviously because it holds more units, but other than in the "intro" we havnt said anything else about it. Maybe it comes later  but just another crystal ball thing / as clear mud , making it the ideal choice for any mission type. Issues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, resulting in a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no obviousapparent maybe? picky little bastad, sorry but perhaps they are unobvious weaknesses? or not :) weaknesses.

EDIT Looking back I may have been getting ahead of myself... that is the intro isnt it? ^^ Come on Ritchard

***Changes are always just my thinkings and doings, suggestions and stuff. In no way do I mean to declare what i have done to be right or what ever, just looking at my other posts and this one i thought it might come across as being rather rude... sorry if it does

Our deep understanding of the Alien Composites’ applications in Aeronautics and Astronautics I have no clue but should the "s"s be on there? technology has allowed us to employ their special properties more efficiently with regards to hull design and construction. The XC-33’s streamlined contours and enhanced surfaces serve to minimize drag, while the sleek hull of the craft is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and redistributing it? the heat? the energy? along the entire length of the fuselage. Unlike the Starfire, greater emphasis is placed on the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat dispersion than the XC-2 design could ever hope to achieve. After analyzing the shortcomings and design flaws in both the XC-2 Starfire and the XC-22 Eclipse classes of Alien-based aircrafts, nope, butchered that one, but to me that reads that there are multiple classes of each craft type X-Corps engineers were able to fully address and rectify the power transfer balance issues inherent in these crafts. As such, the Vengeance is able to make full use of the Xenium Reactors to gain maximum thrust. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design, the result is a vessel that can outrun and outmaneuver any craft in existence, be it Human or Alien in origin.

Due to the overall larger size and extreme thrust potential, virtually all problems in the Eclipse design regarding troop transport were effectively eliminated. It still fits yes, and I do like it but maybe we should leave it at to an offensive one. I dunno, what if we were to come to a peaceful ending? Yea right i know, making crappy excuses now, but seems... dunno. hmm.... thoughts?

This newly configured gravity wave system, while used to great effect in the Vengeance, might have other applications within the X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Although structurally the Vengeance can easily tolerate additional weapon hard-points, engineering focused instead on maximizing transport volume to provide our ground squads with more XCAP support, effectively balancing the Vengeance’s air superiority capabilities with ground superiority potential. Even with only two weapons, the Vengeance’s specifications remain quite impressive, and it is still more than a match for existing craft.

Another key difference between the Vengeance and other X-Corps vessels is its ability to safely function in a zero-gravity vacuum. This feature was prioritized in order to ensure the Vengeance’s operative capabilities in all environments, particularly extraterrestrial ones, thus allowing a switch from purely defensive posture to an offensive one. It is inevitable; we need the ability to fight outside our atmosphere if we are to successfully counter the Alien threat. We know it is inevitable, but what if they have not researched Thanatos yet? It still fits yes, and I do like it but maybe we should leave it at to an offensive one. I dunno, what if we were to come to a peaceful ending? Yea right i know, making crappy excuses now, but seems... dunno. hmm.... thoughts? It is obvious that the aliens don't come from earth (otherwise they would be russians, not aliens... ;) (sorry asty. :P ) so we need to fight them off-world. Don't really see your problem here. sorry.

Able to single-handedly accomplish any mission the X-Corps may require, the Vengeance is the single greatest asset to X-Corps. With unmatched capabilities, regular deployment of the Vengeance may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the Alien species Here we have may but further up we have has... sort of. hum? explain please! The way I see it, it is the single greatest asset, and it is clearly the way to dominate the skies. But is it the key to turn the tide in the whole war?. R&D and Engineering both recommend ramping up the production of the Vengeance to hasten their implementation. The XC-33 truly is the excelsior X-Corps craft. Don't think it needs to be "of the". It is the brilliant craft. not good?

XC-33 VENGEANCE

X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range within the terrestrial forces combined with top speed and damage capacity outclassing any known ships - terrestrial or Alien provenience - the Vengeance ensures X-Corps' dominance of the skies. It also provides great tactical superiority by allowing transportation of more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components has led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches all known designs. With vastly superior maneuverability and speed, the Vengeance's ability to successfully dominate any conceivable aerial encounter with Alien ships has brought victory closer than it has ever been.

As our extensive research has yielded a complete and thorough understanding of alien architecture and technology, X-Corps has finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance. Despite utilizing the same basic components found in any Alien craft, the XC-33 design succeeds in making use of Alien technology to a much higher potential compared to previous crafts based upon UFO designs. Visually, the Vengeance shares little resemblance with existing designs. It represents the evolutionary pinnacle of hybrid Human-Alien technology, a unique mixture of both worlds. Its durability, speed and space-efficient design not only makes it the ideal assault craft, but also grants superior transport capabilities, making it the ideal choice for any mission type. Issues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, resulting in a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no apparent weaknesses.

Our deep understanding of the Alien Composites? applications in Aeronautics and Astronautics technology has allowed us to employ their special properties more efficiently with regards to hull design and construction. The XC-33?s streamlined contours and enhanced surfaces serve to minimize drag, while the sleek hull of the craft is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and redistributing the energy along the entire length of the fuselage. Unlike the Starfire, greater emphasis is placed on the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat dispersion than the XC-2 design could ever hope to achieve.

Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, what we have discovered about its mechanics allows us to use Xenium Reactors far more effectively. After analyzing the shortcomings and design flaws in both the XC-2 Starfire and the XC-22 Eclipse class of Alien-based aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully address and rectify the power transfer balance issues inherent in these crafts.

Ha! :P Been a while, but RL has put me through a wringer. Also, "Hi Davo!" :)

It also provides great tactical superiority by allowing transportation of more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.
Two comments:

1) I recommend changing "terrestrial or Alien provenience" to "of terrestrial or Alien origin" because "provenience" is seldom used in English (this is the first time I've seen it! :P)

2) I was looking at Davo's comments above, and I think he(? sorry if I'm mistaken... :P) has a good point about "damage capacity/capability". What is it supposed to mean? Is it the ability to take damage (durability) or to do damage (damage potential, potential damage output)?

X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components has led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches all known designs. With vastly superior maneuverability and speed, the Vengeance's ability to successfully dominate any conceivable aerial encounter with Alien ships has brought victory closer than it has ever been.
Consider removing the part above to simplify and streamline the meaning: The Vengeance's maneuverability and speed is bringing victory closer.

As our extensive research has yielded a complete and thorough understanding of Alien architecture and technology, X-Corps has finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance. 1) Consider "...the novelty of the XC-33 design improves the efficiency of Alien technology far beyond our previous designs modeled after Alien craft."

2) The direct object seems to be missing- the actual worlds are not being mixed... :P Consider removing the phrase altogether because it's a bit redundant: "It represents the evolutionary pinnacle of hybrid Human-Alien technology."

"Oh my god, that baby's mine!"

"No way, I saw it first!"

"Go back to flight school, it's mine!"

Maybe change the attributed line to: "X-Corps pilots, experiencing love at first sight" :P

Overall, I like the text pretty much as is. It feels rather polished, if a little wordy. :D

The point is, the Vengence DOES outclass the UFOs in the area of atmospheric speed and damage resistance.

That said, all the UFOs have greater range than the Vengence.

Kafros' Comment: You have a valid point there Davo. The problem is that we need to find a way to balance the whole situation. If you read the Xenocide Backstory, you'll see that the Overmind is a renegade weapon-tool that turned against its creators, crash-landed on mars and has been active for the last 150 IIRC years. He doesn't necessarily have extreme technology, and even if he does he doesn't have resources. More importantly, he and his army lack creativity, something that X-Corps' scientists (I guess the best of the world) do have. Last but not least, X-Corps scientists don't invent from-scratch, they reverse-engineer alien technology ;)But, generally, I agree with your comment :)

On seeng the writings i thought that the Xc-33 is one big mean machine ,that eats ufo's at evry turn thus giving the player some sort of a boring advantage over the fight :P

I was just pointing out that Xc-33 should be the best ,the player still has to "fear" a bit an alien encounter ..giving him more intense feeling and wanted to play more and more :D

I see... Well I thought about it, but I can't find anything that would show both points...

I think that the addition of "most" and the phrase "...PROMOTES X-Corps dominance in the skies" in the first paragraph show that the XC-33, IF USED CORRECTLY, can cause havoc. It shoudn't be our problem to show the player that he has to be careful. If he throws the XC-33 with 2 cannons against a strong UFO, bad for him :P

And it did, the only real challenge to an Avenger equipped with twin plasma guns would the Battleship (in case the dice turned against you and it threw the final blow first ;))

Could you propose any rewording? It would be useful :)

Anything else except from that? Mad?

Well, the only ones "missing" are Icebot's, and in my last post I put my opinion on the matter. I guess you want Icebot's point clearly implemented in the CT?

"All of our pilots have shown a great interest in XC-33 Vengeance ,studies report that all of our new pilots want to train on them and the older ones are making quick air races in order to show they're capabilities of handeling the ship perfectly .This is an actual dialog from an ship traning facility nearby ,when the pilots got a first look at the XC-33 :

XC-33 VENGEANCE

X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components has led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches all known designs. With vastly superior maneuverability and speed, the Vengeance's ability to successfully dominate any conceivable aerial encounter with Alien ships has brought victory closer than it has ever been.

Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities, the longest active range within the terrestrial forces combined with top speed and durability outclassing most known ship, of terrestrial or Alien origin alike, the XC-33 design promotes X-Corps' dominance on the skies. It also provides great tactical superiority by allowing transportation of more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

Kafros' comment: "ability to cause maximum damage" isn't really standing, because in terms of short-distance maneuverability I believe all designs are more-or-less the same. To "add insult to injury" (what a phrase xP), 2 weapon slots for an XC-33, 2 weapon slots for an XC-11... Same damage inflicted :P

In addition, I interchanged the two paragraphs, it flows better that way.

As our extensive research has yielded a complete and thorough understanding of alien architecture and technology, X-Corps has finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance. Despite utilizing the same basic components found in any Alien craft, the novelty of the XC-33 design improves the efficiency of Alien technology far beyond our previous designs modeled after Alien craft.

Our deep understanding of the Alien Composites' applications in Aeronautics and Astronautics technology has allowed us to employ their special properties more efficiently with regards to hull design and construction. In order to accommodate its enormous power requirements, the Vengeance is the first X-Corps craft to be fitted with dual Xenium reactors. Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, what we have discovered about its mechanics allows us to use Xenium Reactorssuch technology far more effectively. After analyzing the shortcomings and design flaws in both the XC-2 Starfire and the XC-22 Eclipse classes of Alien-based aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully address and rectify the power transfer balance issues inherent in these crafts. As such, the Vengeance is able to make full use of the Xenium Reactors to gain maximum thrust. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design, the result is a vessel that can outrun and outmaneuver any craft in existence, be it Human or Alien in origin.

Kafros' comment: What if we don't have any engineers hired? (Similar problem existed in the Engineering facility CT). Design and implementation are two different procedures and most of the time they can be seperated. So, scientists make an effective and applicable design, and engineers make the final adjustments once needed (remember in the engineering facility? They have comlinks which can be used to communicate with research facilities. Now, DON'T tell me what happens when all of your bases have just engineering facilities and no research labs :P. Sometimes we are just too picky ;P)

Due to the overall larger size and extreme (great?) thrust potential, virtually all problems in the Eclipse design regarding troop transport were effectively eliminated. This newly configured gravity wave system, while used to great effect in the Vengeance, might have other applications within the X-Corps, perhaps even in such fields as base defense.

The Vengeance is equipped with the standard complement of two craft weapon pods. Although structurally the Vengeance can easily tolerate additional weapon hard-points, engineering focused instead on maximizing transport volume to provide our ground squads with more XCAP support, effectively balancing the Vengeance's air superiority capabilities with ground superiority potential. Even with only two weapons, the Vengeance's specifications remain quite impressive, and it is still more than a match for existing craft.

Another key difference between the Vengeance and other X-Corps' vessels is its ability to safely function in a zero-gravity vacuum. This feature was prioritized in order to ensure the Vengeance's operative capabilities in all environments, particularly extraterrestrial ones, thus allowing a switch from purely defensive posture to an offensive one. It is inevitable; we need the ability to fight outside our atmosphere if we are to successfully counter the Alien threat.

Able to single-handedly accomplish any mission the X-Corps may require, the Vengeance is the single greatest asset to X-Corps. With unmatched capabilities, regular deployment of the Vengeance may ultimately be what turns the tide of this war against the Alien species. R&D and Engineering both recommend ramping up the production of the Vengeance to hasten their implementation. The XC-33 Vengeance truly is the excelsior X-Corps craft, automatically making other designs obsolete.

XC-33 VENGEANCE

X-Net://Pegasus.net/Craft/NewGeneration/Vengeance

X-Corps research into the nature of Alien power systems and UFO components has led to the creation of an assault craft that outmatches all known designs. With vastly superior maneuverability and speed, the Vengeance has brought victory closer than it has ever been.

Possessing both atmospheric and space flight capabilities combined with the longest active range, top speed and durability of most known ships of terrestrial or extraterrestrial origin, the XC-33 design promotes X-Corps' dominance on in the skies. It also provides great tactical superiority by allowing the transportation of more troops and XCAPS into battle than any other craft.

As our Extensive research has yielded a complete and thorough understanding of alien architecture and technology permitting X-Corps has finally been able to achieve the fundamental paradigm shift from mere mimicry to intelligent and optimized design. The final result was the transcendent development of the XC-33 Vengeance. Despite utilizing the same basic components found in any Alien craft UFO, the novelty of the XC-33 form design improves the efficiency of Alien technology far beyond our previous craft models designs modeled after Alien craft. Visually, the Vengeance bears shares little resemblance with existing craft designs. It represents Symbolizing the evolutionary pinnacle of hybrid Human-Alien technology, its durability, speed and space-efficient design not only makes it the ideal a superior transport and assault craft ideal for any mission type. Issues that plagued previous designs have either been remedied or circumvented, resulting in a craft that offers aerial superiority while demonstrating no apparent weaknesses.

Our deep understanding of the Alien Composites' applications in Aeronautics and Astronautics technology has allowed us to employ their special properties more efficiently with regards to hull design and construction. The XC-33's streamlined contours and enhanced surfaces serve to minimize drag, while the sleek hull of the craft is optimized for absorbing enemy fire and redistributing the energy along the entire length of the fuselage. Unlike the Starfire, greater emphasis is placed on the superconducting layers of the Alien Composites, resulting in greater heat dispersion than the XC-2 design could ever hope to achieve.

Although we may never truly unlock the mysteries of Xenium-122 without tracing it back to its source, what we have discovered about its mechanics allows us to use such technology far more effectively. After analyzing the shortcomings and design flaws limitations in both the XC-2 Starfire and the XC-22 Eclipse class of Alien-based hybrid aircraft, X-Corps engineers were able to fully address and rectify the inherent power transfer balance issues inherent in these crafts. As such, the Vengeance is able to make full use of the Xenium Reactors to gain maximum thrust. Combined with the streamlined, aerodynamic design, the result is a vessel that can outrun and outmaneuver any craft in existence, be it Human or Alien in origin.

There may be some undocumented changes I made, so use as much or as little as you guys want. :)

The second paragraph reads a whole lot better than it did before, but it probably requires a little more tweaking to make it perfect. Other than that, I'm fresh out of ideas today so some feedback would be appreciated. :P

This suggests the possibility of a "fighter" variant of the Vengeance, with additional weapon pods at the cost of reduced troop capacity.
