I have an old Gateway Computer that I am currently trying to install X-com Apoc onto.

Computer Specs: Microsoft Win 98, Second Edition, 4.10.2222 A, Gateway Inc., Geniune Intel,
x86 Family 6 model 8 stepping 10, 256.0 MB RAM

When trying to install x-com apoc, I receive an error message as follows:

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be terminated. Quit all programs, and then restart your computer.

If the program consistently encounters probelms, click Start button, then select Help, Troublshooting and 'If you have trouble runningMS-DOS programs'

The program encountered an invalid page exception.

Fault location: 0028:C02B1BEB
Faulting componet: IFSMGR(04) + 000092FF
Interrupts in service: None

I have tried shutting all programs down and restarting my computer, and did the troubleshootin which did not help at all.
I am not the most computer savvy person out there, but if anyone can help I would appreciate that very much.

Thanks for the help

I suggest you reboot in DOS mode to install&run Xcom Apocalypse.
edit: first you could try the DOS prompt instead though :)
