Here, I made some new pics and explotion animation.
To install them, just put it to "arts" folder in ufo 2000 directory.

The explosion looks good, although it seems somewhat buggy. The frames are not very well centered in relation to each other, causing the animation to wobble annoyingly. If you fix the problem, this might become a good replacement for the large explosion for smaller weapons.

BTW, the link you provided contains a misspelling, you might want to fix that.

Did you change anything at all? Because I don't see a difference. The wobbliness is still there.
