Extralucas
:erm:... well.... yes I did . Unfortunately I didn't know that before. I didn't know it so I was renaming my soldiers. Now when I know why there is an icon of rank near aquanaut's name on equip screen managing aquanauts should be a far easier. It wasn't available in Ufo: Enemy Unknown so I thought that in TFTD is same situation.

Extralucas
um i dont know what to tell ya but you can do it in EU to .In the equip screen? no you cant And that's my point! I was playing much in X-Com and I was forced to guessing stats of my soldiers (was when I didn't know that changing name is possible) or (later) changing their names. When I discovered that TFTD offers me easier way... Well that was quite unexpected, because I didnt find anywhere anything about it. Plus, this means no more suffering and tireing with soldier's stats. At least in TFTD
ponkan
Even being able to check aquanaut stats, I still like renaming them, makes keeping track of various roles a lot easier. "Hmm, low bravery, takes the point. Nice firing accuracy, give him a good gun and keep him at the back of the pack. Reaction fire and accuracy, this guy's gonna camp at the sub doors when I find them, waste two or three before he has to move (aliens wise up and throw a grenade)" I like to use xcomutil to do this automatically, (can even rename based on rank and kills) as well as the other nifty stuff, like make heavy gauss usable, or re-arrange the starting base.
