Psiclones

I've piled up quite a few psiclones from raiding ganges and such. I've been afraid of selling them because I vaguely recollect that in one of my last games selling a bunch of psiclones got the government mad at me. Am I right that government would not like that?

Also, can my soldiers use psiclones for their advantage in any way?

They're more like a bounty than being useful. I tried to feed my soldiers with them or use them on bodyparts, but nothing.

The goverment is still an ally to Xcom, even if I sold till now 134 units.

The purpose of them is they're expensive and your budget will go up fast if you sell them. So it's time for you to buy those expensive bases, facilities and ships you saw on the market, but you didn't have the money to buy them.

In my luckiest raid I collected 10 of them, but I usually get between 0-8. From the cult, of course, I don't attack other organizations.

Psiclones are gold, plain and simple. The government won't care if you try selling them. Psiclones, along with all alien tech, can only go down in price after you introduce them to the market. They can go down to 50% of their starting price, which is quite alot of money. Because of that, you should wait until you are really strapped for cash, then sell them all at once.

I've found that hte psykes are great source of psiclones-- stun raids are quick and easy... Is there something wrong in this strategy? I've managed to get 30 or so...

Not at all.

stun raid?

Raid a friendly/allied building and have your soldiers armed with only Stun Grapples. The troops there won't shoot at you, because your soldiers are friendlies, but you can force-fire on them and stun them (which means they'll drop their equipment!) which WON'T make them hostile to you. It's good for training your troops and getting extra goodies. :)

You can also use the mind bender and get non-hostile enemy guards to jump off tall buildings (or into holes). They can die this way if they fall too far - just remember to release the mind control before they get hurt, and no one will be the wiser because the death will be due to 'self inflicted' injuries, and not caused via any hostile action on your part!

The only thing you have to watch out for is the guards causing accidental damage to their own building by throwing primed proximity mines. It happens, goodness knows why, and you get blamed for it. It's not so bad if your raids are few and far between (or you change your mark regularly), but if you stun-raid on a regular basis and there's constant self-inflicted damage to the building, the company's going to start asking questions.

Nothing wrong with it - apart from the moral aspect. ;)

Mini-launchers ftw!

If you get a group of "friendlies" stunned nearby each other, just post 1-2 agents nearby dual-wielding stun grapples, and wait for a while. As they become conscious, restun the "friendlies" on auto-fire (preferably from max distance) and you'll be surprised how fast your agents' accuracies rise.
