Malhavok
What is the procedure to interrogate aliens. I have live aliens at the base, I have a large research facility stocked with nerds, but I don't see the choice to research the live aliens. Any help? Jenny
They should just appear in your biochemistry research list, and you should be able to research them like any other research item.

Cpl. Facehugger
Also make sure you haven't already researched the alien you are trying to research (for instance, researching an anthropod, then trying to research another anthropod.) Malhavok
in APoc yo uhave in total fo 2research types to build a nd the workshopso you gotta fill out 3 types of nerds What's that? I need two different types of research labs and a workshop to be able to interrogate aliens? Do they need to be two large labs or does the size matter. And three types of nerds to research them? As in engineers, chemists, and physicists?
j'ordos
There are two different research branches: biochemistry and physics, you start out with a small lab of each and some scientists to go with them, the physics lab is for researching alien weapons, UFO's and the biochemistry is for developing toxic weapons, researching aliens, and such. The engineers are there to manufacture the stuff you develop. So when you hire personnel, you have to check each category of available personnel, as biochemists won't help in physics research And, when R&D-ing you have to make sure you have the right tab selected, you can't research aliens when on the physics tab.Size of labs does only matter with some projects, you'll need an advanced lab to do some advanced research, like the toxic weaponry. Small labs are still good enough for autopsies, and live interrrogations though.(one more thing: you are sure you have live aliens, and don't just assume so because you stunned several aliens, right? Because you need a bio-transport module in your assault craft carrying your squad to transport aliens in)
Malhavok
Puzzling. I am an X-Com veteran of the first two games, this is my first chance to play Apoc though. At any rate, I am sure that I have live aliens at both of my bases. Here's the run down. Base 1: Small labs for each of the three disciplinesBase 2: Large lab for one, small labs for the other two. Now there are LIVE aliens at both bases, I've been throwing out the dead ones for quite some time now. But alien interrogations are not showing up in any of the labs at either base. I have already researched the live aliens as basic research items. But in the other games you could actually interrogate live aliens if I remember correctly. You could question every single live alien you brought back to base. You had to be sure to capture some higher ranking officers to learn the location of the base on Mars and whatnot. Does this just not come until later in the game or something?
j'ordos
Ah, if that's what you mean, xcom3 no longer does that, you can only research each alien once (and there are no different ranks amongst the aliens anymore )
Malhavok
Wow, well that's a bummer. Ok, so as soon as I've done the autopsy and researched the live alien I can just start killing all the captured aliens?
Cpl. Facehugger
All of that particular species. Capture and research all live aliens and all alien autopsies for a really nice surprise.
