Tsereve
A few days ago, I discovered a neat little glitch that allows you to get free shields instantly "on loan". It only works half the time, however, so trial-and-error may be needed. 1) On the equip-agent screen (armor), take different types of armor from your agents so that the right-most piece is almost off the base inventory section of the screen. With helmets, the right edge should be 5-10 pixels away. 2) On the equip-agent screen (weapon), give and take equipment from your agents until the item you wish to "loan out" is about centered with where the armor almost off the screen would be. Switch modes at high speed to check that they (more-or-less) align. 3) Use CRT+LMB to select a large # of agents (agents>item to be loaned, agents 4) Exit the equip-agent screen, and go to the buy/sell screen. The game reasons that if you end up with 0 of an item, you can't have bought any. Since you cannot buy, but can sell shields, etc., the game allows you to turn the number to 0 for the price of the item times 'x'. By this process, you have bought shields (vortex mines, teleporters, etc.)! As I said before, this only works sometimes. It might be an XP thing, too, so keep trying if it doesn't work. Robo Dojo 58
I just tried that neat little trick out. Those shields aren't just "on loan". You've figured out how to recreate the infamous "65535 widget" bug! :o Sometimes, if I click in between two items, I'll grab another item through some glitch. I've seen this thing happen all the time, but I never gave it a second thought. It happens when you have more than one page of equipment. That "interdimensional" item is not protected from going below zero, from what it appears. The instant you have less than zero of an item, the selling screen will say you have about 65535 of that item. Sell them for a godlike profit. Or, sell most of them, and keep a hundred or so for yourself.
Tiberius_51
Sweet! That makes two ways to consistently do the 65535 widget bug! Way to go man!
