Pherdnut
I had no idea they could do this. Walked right up to a sucker to gun it down and it latched on to my agent during my turn! Fortunately I didn't learn the hard way as the unit wasn't successfully brainsucked. Speaking of, are you guys SURE the disruptor armor doesn't help vs brainsuckers? In my most recent game I've had two incidents of neglected dropped brainsucker ammo resulting in zero brainsucks. That's a lot of brainsucks in a row that were unsuccessful and my agents hardly ever seem to get brainsucked when they have the good helmets on. Is there some agent stat that helps against it because it could be a late game thing. I don't use androids for anything other than guard duty at new bases. NRN_R_Sumo1
From my experiance the type of armour Does matter. But what REALLY burns a sucker is a shield. !They are all like, " I SHANK WITH NOSE"and the shields all like " I BREAK UR NOSE NOOB"then the brain suckers all like "Pwned.. " The result is a mucas puddle on the floor :o Whenever I have an agent without a helmet hes lost, Marsec armour lasts very shortly during the time he can shoot at it, and the megapol as you all know, Is fairly decent, but Decent isnt always enough Disruptor seems to be Very hard to stab through. Gee I wonder why?Mabye brainsuckers are allergic to the colour blue
Guest Azrael
They are all like, "LOL I SHANK WITH NOSE"and the shields all like "LOL I BREAK UR NOSE NOOB"then the brain suckers all like "Pwned.. :("Sounds like either the brainsuckers have been using this translator or they are really 12-year old AOLers
Elros
My experience today with a brainsucker in TB: BS-"I'm in your base n00bs..."Front-line soldier misses with no less than 14 reaction shots. All 5 of his squad members sit there like lemons, presumably LOLing at each other's jokesBS-"...sucking your d00ds"Brainsucker jumps on soldier's head. I've never seen one get shot after it was on someone's head in TB but thenSquad member "Hey, luk guys"All squaddies turn round and fire off reactions at once. Four hit the sucker. The soldier's just about to thank his team mates when the 5th shot hits him in the face.Squaddie-"Ooops, team kill"
Aiki-Knight
I always play RT in X3, and haven't had a brainsucker latch onto an agent in a couple years. I've had them jump in the air to do so, but a quickly dropped HE grenade set to .5 takes them out in the air. I always have my agents know what's at their back, carry at least one HE grenade, and I haven't had a brainsucking incident, successful or unsuccessful, ever since. [NKF]
I've had varying experieneces with brainsuckers and the different helmets (or lack of). With all of them, I've had instances where the unit got controlled instantly or where the unit was able to shrug off several attacks in a row. Each attempt is definitely a random toss of the dice, perhaps the helmets have associated difficulties attached to each one. Most of the time it's easiest to just stop, drop and roll. Well, you can't roll, but stay down anyway. AP grenades are definitely a must-have anti-brainsucker item. - NKF
