Hi :)

 

I am new to editing Xcom files. I played Xcom Terror from the Deep DOS @ PC and Playstation back in the 90's.

Daishiva's Mapeditor is simple to get used to and i created some new maptiles.

However there are questions remaining and i am not sure which editor is required to do remaining work.

 

I understand there are multiple "Mappacks" for each combatarea. (Island terror, Harbour/Port Terror, Cargo ship etc.) Each of them contain multiple mapsections that will be puzzled together to create the final random map.

 

For example -> "Island terror site" has mapsections numbered Island00-Island14.

1.How can i add additional mapsections f.e. "island15".

2. How can i make the game using that new Island15 mapsection ?

3.PCKview can be used to add graphics/tiles to the Island Tilepalette, but how

can i setup their attributes (walkable flat, walkable stair,door,blocking view etc).

I am not sure which editors i need and what files to edit, so hopefully you can help me out :)

I remember that you must put addional mapsections in the executable file. I did this when I made new Cydonia maps. I do not remember the offset, but you can search for the file inside the exe. Cheers
