If a soldier can miss, it will.

If an alien can miss, it won't.

When you need money the most, some of your funders will stop funding you.

As soon as you get a new base online, it will be attacked.

As soon as you get lots of money, the aliens will make you spend it all.

If a soldier can panic, it will.

If an alien can MC you, it will.

If a soldier is unarmed, it will get MCed.

The soldier with the most powerful weapon is surely the one with the worst morale / MC resistance.

If you have a weapon, the aliens have a better one.

If a soldier can hit an alien, it won't.

A soldier has much less survival chances than an alien.

You always need elerium.

The aliens does not need elerium.

They wont give you elerium.

The laws of gravity effect hwps.

The laws of gravity does not effect ufos.

The laws of gravity DOES effect soldiers, Tommy. stop hopping!

You have a max of 8 bases

The aliens have max 8.000 bases

A baseball field have a max of 3 bases

You can only house 1 plane per hanger

The aliens can house infinite ufos in a single hangar.

Area 51 can house all captured ufos in one hangar.

You can have 50 soldiers in 2 5mX5m rooms.

You can house 100 aliens in 1 5mX5m room.

You cannot have more then 10 aliens in one prison at all times, as 11 aliens of same speecies and job will mutate into a 10 feet tall robot that can break out.

Terror sites always appear only at night

Seas always appear below a crashing UFO.

If a civilian sees a fire he will run into it

If a civilian sees an alien he'll move right next to it

If a civilian can block your line of fire to an alien he will do that

If your soldier holds a primed proximity grenade and panics he'll drop it and start running :rolleyes:

If your soldier panics he'll drop his weapon and run next to an alien (he'll even run right out of your skyranger without weapon :blink: )

If a soldier has a rocket launcher, he will get MCed while still in the craft.

If there are cryssalids, you will get at least one zombified soldier.

If a reaper can get stuck, it will :)

If a cyberdisk can explode on one of your men, it will.

You can't open a door unless you're planing on actually going through it.

A Lightning's angular walls can be walked through.

Aircraft can take just as long or longer to repair than it took to build. (or at least it seems that way)

If an alien passes in front of a soldier, it misses it.

If a soldier passes in front of an alien, it will get killed.

You can't cancel research projects, even if they only have 0 scientists.

cyberdisks MUST be right in front of your Skyranger on your first mission with rifles and T-shirts.

 

Cryssalids can always cross that huge open field just to feel up your best guy...

 

If you bring a weapon... your fighting the alien most resistant to it

 

If you dont bring a weapon... the alien that is weak to is comes on out.

 

Muttons will survive that grenade attack...

 

Beserk humans shoot everything but aliens...

 

There is always an alien hiding in that last closet in the Battle ship that you forgot to check.

 

If you can see Eurelium (sp :-P) the aliens will shoot it

 

Your T-shirt rookie will take those 6 auto fire heavy plasma bolts at close range, but your commander in a flying suit will drop like a fly to a single plasma pistol shot.

 

IF you opened a door and turned left, the aliens are all on the right

 

That alien commander thats killed 5 rookies trying to stun him will always try to grenade the last one that comes really close and kills himself.

if you are an alien, you end your life in the alien containment.

When you think it couldn't get worse it will

Alians do not die from fatal wounds

soldiers do die from fatal wounds

LOL! here's a few more...

The first country to drop funding always gave the most money.

X-COM bases are always attacked when the squads are out.

Your first unit out is always shot down.

Your first unit out is always your commander.

Crashed UFO's never have elerium.

Landed UFO's take off before you can get to them.

UFO's will always arrive after your Skyranger is refueling from a two day patrol.

An Avenger's angular wall can be walked through.

Sectopods always do reaction fire.

 

And a small revision on Zomboy's law...

Any craft that took a week to build will take a month to repair.

:wave: Yes i found that out over the holidays. i was responding to a ship attack with a nice range of aliens.

I counted : 2 Triscenes

lots of Tasoth

12 deep one

8 Biodrones

the biggest group of aquatoids i have ever seen!

Yeah I know. I didn't have a clue what was going on. and they didn't shoot at each other. (I always hoped that the aliens were hostle to other alien races). It was like one big alien party and I lost my key Recon team (it was only three people but still!) I still had the other seven which were split into two teams though and i came out with 2 live triscenes, 1 biodrone, 4 Tasoth all sqaudleaders, 2 Deep Ones and 5 aquatoids. All of that in one Alien containment.

If you absoluteley can not lose a soldier in the current mission, he will die as soon as he steps off the ramp of the Avenger/lightning/interceptor/firestorm/avenger Edited by Mustang

If the alien is above you, and therefore can't be hurt by explosives, then they will always drop a grenade.

 

Chryssalids will always try to sneak into your transport

 

Civilians will always run next to prox grenades.

If you can't find the last alien alien, you will find him 1,000 turns later (happend to me)

You will only mis-click if a soldier has a 100% chance of dying if he/she moved where the mis-click is
