guileol
Hi, sound people! Here's the music i've been working on for the groundbattles. I would like to know what do you think about it. Plz remember its still a sketch (pretty much a bunch of ideas together ) so don't expect something incredible, ok? Plus i kinda suck on the rythm section AND equalizing so maybe i can find a partner on this one, any volunteers? guileol
Just one more thing IF someone wants to do this with me. I'm currently using Reason 2.5 to do it and atex told me that it cant open v3.0 songs, so there's this limitation.Bye! Guile

mikker
jup, broken. And I don't really like that upload side. The pop-up checks where in the world you are from, and gives you a choice of girls from the surrounding area. It takes personal informaiton without me knowing it, and uses it for pop-ups I would say is on the verge of being porn pop-ups. o.O
guileol
Sorry about that guys... Uploaded it to Rapidshare and my personal space on Terra, the links follow Groundbattle Terra Groundbattle RapidShare Hope it works...
Darkhomb
It takes personal informaiton without me knowing it, and uses it for pop-ups I wouldn't say its taking personal information, it uses a simple trace route from your ip. It doesn't actually get your location but your ISP's

I like it a lot, it gives a feeling of mystery, and I really liked the pace it picks up in 0:53. awesome work!
ATeX
Nice to see you found your way. I´ll listen to it once I got my internet connection back at home. cheers, Thomas
[Mad]
Hi!Nice stuff! But, please don't get me wrong, but I have my problems with it. Maybe it's just me, but I feel the ntroduction might be a little too long, nevertheless, I like the way of it. The part between 00:43 and 01:42 is very good - I extremely liked it! But then the second repeating of the "organ-tremolo" at 01:44-01:46 and all those which are following in the short "pauses" are too much in my ears. I think, it might sound better just to leave it "blank". The tremolo is too much disturbing the rythm and tension of the music. What I like pretty much is the passage to the "new" base music at 02:13-02:19 with the two "spikes" or drops or however it is called at 02:17 and :18. The part until 03:03 gets my blood pumping, it is very dense and scary (I see my men creeping through the woods and searching for the aliens they heard). Don't know, but after this it losses it's tenseness, but not in a burst, but unfortunatly slowly, and stealthy, like a tire looses air. I suspect, it might be the "FM-tuning signal" the ascending and descending bleeping in the background (the one you also used in the introduction). Please, don't get me wrong, maybe I wasn't able to find the right words sometimes. I don't mean to be disrespectful - I could never do something like this - but I'm merley trying to help out by telling you what doesn't fit for me. Hope it is ok for you the way I do it. ATeX
Ok, I finally took a listen. I'm in Belgium for a few days for christmas which gave me the opportunity to come and take a quick look. I can't really go deep into this matter due to time shortage and crappy speakers. Overall it sounds real nice. You worked on your composition you sent me when applying. Those 3 notes from the main theme are exactly the elements that are needed. I'll give you more feedback once christmas is over. Btw, still no internet in Spain. cheers, Thomas
ATeX
same thing as with Mr_S. Short comments to strengthen and clarify the feedback. pro's- nice pads- good synth effects- use of main theme cons- at 1:36 maybe replace that lowered pitched speech by something else, like a processed frightning animal sound, or, just remove it- at 2:18 careful with the filters, don't emphasise the frequencies too much, it doesn't sound very good (and it can damage the internal ear when using headphones)- more "room" is needed to add the required fearful mood. Add more space to the sound. Remove things. Silence is the key. I suggest to extend the song to 8-10 mins by adding a long silent part with many effects. looking forward to hear your progress! cya later, Thomas
