x0563511
Is the flood control really necessary? I have as many as 4 topics open and it gets really old having to wait before i can reply to one after i replied to another. I realize that what it prevents, is there any way to restrict that flood-control to posts in a specific thread? (ei only so many posts per min.. in a thread)
[stewart]
I see by your user number you are new here. As such you are more likely to have many topics to respond to; everything is new for you. After a while this will diminish. We have flood control turned on as we have found that is flooding to control. Flood control is set to 20 seconds; open a number of windows accordingly. [Blehm 98]
it's there to make sure people aren't spamming topics with 6+ posts per minute(with DSL, it can go extremely high)

Our good friend from Finland might answer that for us.
