When u are in battle your pulse goes up and breathing gets faster. Why dont we try to simulate this ingame. When u select ur Troops u could hear if they are fatigued by listening how fast their breathing is (or looking it from stats :) ). When they are starting to panic their pulse is going up and they breathe like maniacs. This feature could be only in stats screen or even ingame. There could be also heart monitor, which also would do nicely flat line when soldier is moved to better hunting grounds. Maybe even aliens breathing could heard if u are close enough...

Some sort of small monitor on the screen, showing statistics of the selected soldier... I love it!
Alien sound heard, a few metres away, heart rate 120... Alien sound heard around corner, heart rate 160... Alien shows up in front of him...heart rate 200!... Alien fires, heart rate _____ :crying:

Prehaps a system simular to Rogue Spear could be implemneted, showing the heart beat moniter spikes, green for unhurt moving to orange when medium hurt, to red when almost dead with fatal injuries.

That will gonna go, not for this milestone or the initial battlescape releases... There is an article in Gamasutra that already point out how it could be done, so it can be implemented with little work...

Go aliens style have the lil moniter thing, if there captured you can get it from your base or ship and if there taken to an alien base you can detect it on tracker, and go into the lab and find them with all there organs hanginfg out or the females have been impregnated and it explodes forth from there body and eats you and...yeah :idea:
