Very fitting fo the creepy mood of UFO, just a couple of suggestions. Lose the cymbal in the beginning and replace it with a very dark, distant bassdrum. And perhaps you should tone down the rythmic part, and lose the cymbal in the ending. Just can't get creepy and cymbal into my head at once.

well i wasn't planning on using this example for the game, i was going to write all new stuff once i got a better understanding of what you guys wanted...

 

but if you like it i can change whatever you'd like

I like it, classical but creepy. I know you're not using it for the game but when you do it might be good to make it like 2-3 mins long and loopable so there's no real start/finish to the song. I got quite hooked into your example and it does have the right atmosphere for geoscape (my test is play it in my player and run xcom :)) but it finishes and then the mood is broken when it starts again.

 

I don't know how everyone else feels about this but I'd love to hear a tune that's an Industrial/classical/trance mix. If that's possible?

Sure, we just have to find somebody to do it :wink: To make song loop is quite easy to do, but i was thinking that we could use crossfade. So when song ends it crossfades in to the next song. In that way we could have more variety in music.

sorry...i think i translated it wrong....with deep mol music i just ment deep music, like someone banging on an oildrum.
