[Blehm 98]
Snipes are teh best way unless you are in a bunker-like map. Believe me, i've tried and learned, snipers work best
Neithan
Exit becomes Resign in the beta. You can also offer a draw. Mostly, I avoid playing because I am teh n00b, and the one thing that pisses me off is snipers. Ie, people who camp soldiers and send scouts out, then snipe. It's bloody irritating when you're being heavyplasma sniped from out of view. Also, if I know I'm about to lose (one man left and he's wounded) I quit anyway.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> its a tactic ...will u sabotate every working tactics? Kratos
Exo...I have won with 1 guy against 5 before. Just place him right.
Exo2000
Yeah, it can work in some situations. But not when you're outnumbered 10 to 1, and you don't know where the enemy is. ~~ Neithan; I know it's a tactic, but there's one thing; It's a LAME tactic. Most of all, it's cowardly. You rely on several cheap soldiers you can throw away to find enemies, and just have the others hide and snipe. Sure, without their scouts, the enemy is useless, but it's still irritating. Exo2000
It is cowardly. You're saving your snipers from being hurt or killed by keeping them out of range. The scouts are expendable anyway, because all they're there for is to hunt out enemies for the snipers. Besides, the tactic is rendered useless with low/very low visibility levels. (Literally, you can only see about... 3-4 squares on darkest setting on latest beta)
Neithan
i havent played the low visibility levels sofar, if i want to play that i would reconsider my tactic then ...i have that tactic for the classic style like the one going on a turnament right now...u are barking at the wrong tree man... Mostly, I avoid playing because I am teh n00b, and the one thing that pisses me off is snipers. Ie, people who camp soldiers and send scouts out, then snipe. [Blehm 98]
Hmm, last time i played on the latest beta it was lowest visibility against Abyssion with conventional weapons... believe me, it didn't go too well On low visibility scouts can be even better, just you have to move everyone up. Mutons really live up to their name in the beta, since they have way more armor now, i mean... 7 rifle shots and the guy still wasn't dead, althought he only had 26 heath left. Also, Scouts work best on multi-level maps as well
