Disappearing Ammo in TFTD

Sorry, if there should be already this topic:

 

In two- or more-parter missions my ammo keeps disappearing from time to time.

 

Ok, I could understand it, if used ammo counts in the next part as no ammo. But even if I brought with me unused extra ammo, it sometimes disappears. This is extremely annoying.

 

Any idea, how to avoid this?

Which version of the game are you using, and are you using XComutil?

The culprit is very likely XComutil, as it has a function that runs in between two-parter maps that forcibly sends equipment home to a base. This was to fix the old TFTD v1.0 bug that made you lose equipment when you move to the second map (literally everything on the ground is lost, even stuff left in the Triton!), but XComutil can seems to get overzealous sometimes and returns too much, including ammo that's on your aquanauts. This equipment loss bug was fixed in TFTD v2.0 and v2.1, but XComutil will still forcibly send stuff back to base regardless of the TFTD version.

 

I'm not sure if the latest version of XComutil corrects this, but you may want to try upgrading to the latest, or not use XComutil to run the game (unless you need it for some XComutil specific mods).
