Let's post some royalty-free fonts here, choose the best and then vote for the ones that we should use!

Hmm when I started the thread I though I would have found much more... :/

Maybe you'll be more lucky :)

CONSPIRACY and Roswell don't look bad, don't like the middle one.

Thanks for starting this, I will try and search fonts when I get home.

Edit - however for the roswell it doesn't say its free anywhere

The fonts presented on this website are their authors' property, and are either freeware, shareware, demo versions or public domain. The licence mentioned above the download button is just an indication. Please look at the readme-files in the zips or check the indicated author's website for details, and contact him if in doubt. If no author/licence is indicated that's because we don't have information, that doesn't mean it's free.

I like Neuropol , and it appears to be free

Looking a bit more, more from same person/company, and free:

http://www.myfonts.com/browse/foundry/larabie/

Pretty sure we can find something close to the old Xenocide font.

Note, ideally we want a font thats legible, and has most of the European characters.

Concerning the fonts, there are many useful utilities out there that make the whole procedure fairly easy. They usually have vector-based drawing features, so it's like drawing in Photoshop/GIMP with the pen tool!

I am not an artist so the best I COULD EXPERIMENT with is to get a "concept picture" of the font that you could provide and try to draw it into a font (my pen table could help). I CAN'T GUARANTEE ANYTHING, and I won't be able to start until March due to the exam period.

Nevertheless, anyone could give it a try, but first we need a concept to be basen on

We already have a lot of choices, the more difficult part will be to choose which one we'll use :P

In order to save time, can I say that fonts must support lower case. Which means that datacontrol is not a contender. Pity, because otherwise I like it.
