I remember in X-Com how it sometimes felt so useless to research some alien bodies because most of them just had a little story about them but offered you no new research or no advantages. Sure it might tell you that incendiary works well or some such which is great information but it was only for a select few aliens.

I think it would be cool if after doing an autopsy on the alien your team gets a automatic small boost to the damage they deal to that alien from now on. Nothing significant... Just to signify that you now know where to hit the aliens to do most damage to organs/components most critical to their survival. This would make all autopsies worthwhile instead of just doing the ones you know lead to some new research.
