Scientists And Engineers

People like to make a point that the soldiers you hire would be the best of the best. But so would the scientists and engineers! Im sure there would still be research\engineering teams, but I think it would take an exceptional person to make the "breakthrough". Im not talking about bio's on the characters, but you could get a monthly report of people who are interested/qualified to work on the team. These people could not only be newly graduated scientists and engineers but soldiers from special forces from around the world. I think this would let you designate priority projects by assigning your most capable people to the most important projects.

 

Me and my brother had a joke when it came to research in Xcom, you could assign 50 scientists to a sectoid soldier. So... you have 50 guys surrounding a sectoid slapping him in the face yelling "talk, damn you!".

Interesting idea though. Scientists could have specialties or be generalists. The move the researcdh faster in their specialty but suck at the other area. Forces you to hire and fire more often.
