You're free to use our sources as you see fit, of course you need to release the product with our same licence, IIRC.(maybe) i wish to use some content or it could be great if some interested active members will be in "x-com: origin" project
We have a C++ branch, which won't be of much use. And the XNA one that's the only one bound to be useful for anyone, not only it's pretty advanced, it was done by some skilled people too

Scratch that, dteviot is the one to be contacted for sources. You should contact Mad or dteviot.
I tried accessing our SVN through the browser, I think it was svn.projectxenocide.com but of course, that doesn't work either (appears empty).

Concerning the xcom projects, each one has its own vision and uses different technology, so it's practically not possible for people to merge into a common project.
Nevertheless, progress is being made in various projects (your "origin", Alien Invasion, The Two Sides, supsuper's remake), so there isn't much need to worry

thats not right!Concerning the xcom projects, each one has its own vision and uses different technology, so it's practically not possible for people to merge into a common project.
first is: any 2d-artist or 3d-artist can help
second is: if you are about programmers.. in programing is main is know OOP and know how to programming

Easier said than done. You can't *just* merge Xenocide's c# (or even the old c++) codebase with UFO:AI's C codebase.every experienced OOP programmer just need to read language basics also is same in all programming languages.
Use ideas from both? Yes you can. BUT, which ones will the developers agree upon?
... And more points we could talk/disagree/discuss upon, but it would be no help. This issue has already been discussed at least twice, and each time either it was decided that the changes would be overwhelming, or the developers didn't agree on losing some/most of their work or being "forced" to redo some stuff.

here is many people with "creative text department", i dont know what it means but i think it is some like writer or game-designer, so if some one from xenocide wants to.. it would be great. but that someone should be 1. with experience 2. be not stupid guy who thinking he is a god..

also we need animator

*AHEM*
I've been lurking around here for a year trying to find a point of entry, and watching this project's progress with interest. This thread is probably the first sign of life I've seen since April. I'm unsure of the progress of this project as a whole...
I'm what the industry calls a "Technical Artist" (I am not part of the VG industry). Instead of being set to work on the code, or art, or text, I go about working on an alien, or car, or similar prop, and do what it takes to model, write, and code it.
I know how to use 3ds Max, and own old versions of it, but I've been using blender 4.96b lately due to cost (don't have 4k just lying around). I'm C# literate and know a fair amount of the XNA library, if you use that... My big weakness is that I'm not great at making skins. I can make passable ones, but it's a job best suited for someone else.
I guess what I'm coming to is that I'd like to contribute, but I need to know how, and if there will be anyone with me...

xrabohrok: Xenocide is pretty much not acitve, most members MIA. There is a chance to revive it, there is always a chance. On the other hand, X-Com Origins (http://www.xcomufo.c...0&gopid=189189) has a lot of steam right now, so maybe you can do more over there. It is up to you. If you're still interested in trying to revive the (more or less) dead horse Xenocide, drop me a PM, maybe we can work something out.
Closed.

Of course I have gone mad with power! It would be completely ridiculous to go mad without power!
And no, this is not a quote from the Simpson's movie, I want it on paper, that I actually wrote that quite some time before the movie came out.
