Everything is the same, hold out as long as you can with basic human tech and without ANY bases at all. Just the Triton with 14 men & 2 barracuda's to stop the alien menace . I'll explain once more how it works : you go to the base screen and equip the triton with everything you want (no alien/gauss weapons tho). Take the 80 items limit in account when doing this, you're unable to drop items back, since you don't have general stores. Craft weapons are gauss cannons (ensuring maximum durability :wink: ). Once you think you're okay, you launch all craft to somewhere and wait untill they are out of fuel. Once that happens they will automatically go to any sub on the globe at that time allowing you to shoot it&attack it with the triton. ALWAYS tell your craft to 'return to base' if the game asks, if you don't they will no longer chase USOs and be stuck (you can't give the orders for some reason). As far as I tested this, it seems a LOT harder than xcom1. Downing subs has become difficult too, or is just the gauss cannon made worse than a laser cannon in xcom1?? (wouldn't make much sense ). download, rename 'game3.ex_' to 'game3.exe' and extract it to one of your empty TFTD savegame folders. Have fun!
