Is Project: Talon still alive?

At the UFO2000 site I saw that some projects have been taking off including this one and Project Colonisation

I just have decided to remove links to 'UFO: Alien Invasion' and 'Project Colonisation' because they do not show any activity for a long time and what is more important - they now have some very annoying commercial ads on their pages. Once they remove ads, I'll add links to their projects again. That's a pity as 'UFO: Alien Invasion' showed a lot of promise :(

About 'Project Talon'. Link to it was removed too. They do not have ads, but they do not seem to show any progress as well. Removing the link to their page was not an easy decision. But now we have links only to active x-com inspired projects that are really worth trying.

Any links can be returned back if the developers of these projects contact me (that can be considered as a sign of 'activity' :) ).

Instead of removing the links, perhaps you could move the links to a "no recent activity" section?

Well, ufo2000 site is not aimed to be a collection of links to all possible x-com remakes available. I had added some links that seemed interesting to me at the moment in the hope that they will be interesting to the visitors too. Talon looked interesting to me a few years ago, now it does not. In addition, none of these projects has links back to ufo2000 home page (except for old and now ads infested UFO:AI home page) :)

Hi guys, I can tell you for a fact that there is some work going on with Talon, Mainly as ive been on that project since conception ;)

As mentioned it is very slow due to our coders main responsibilities, but i am in constant contact with him and we have almost sorted out a texture issue that froze production a while back. We have also been suffering recent Spam attacks which made the forums none to fun to work in, so a lot of work goes over IM's...

But the primary website is constantly evolving... most of the time its faster then the game itself ;)

Oh we have recently celebrated our 2nd anniversary :)

As for the Demo,

You need to download all 3 packages, extract the main file, then extract the next 2 in numberical order, one over the other onto the main file... hope that helps.

Please dont expect to see much as its only the skeleton frame work, that was proof of concept type work... then we got bit by a 3ds problem. But it has recently been tracked down, so i expect things to move along pretty quick once the fix has been applied.

Cheers Guys.
