But in all seriousness mainly I'm working on animations. Primarily the cydonia launch scene (which incidentally is being redone from the ground up with the correct scaling between objects). Also modelling and texturing a city for the initial section of the launch for a flyover and something that'll probably come as a surprise to most people, modelling a very high detail version of my Avenger concept complete with iridium sheen and the polycount is somewhere in the 10,000 mark and counting.
I'm also putting in a lot of research into getting a correct very (read 30m resolution) close resolution map for the launch sequence as well as spending quite a bit of time at the library (yeah you know those real life places where they have books ) researching up on Mars and of course the eventual landing site Cydonia. YeahI know there's lots of info on the web about Mars and Cydonia but not too many clear his res pics of the surface especially in the area I'm interested in for the movie.
If you've seen some of the most recent earth pics (and they're only the medium res maps I'm using) you'll know what kind of detail I'm talking about.
Other than that I found an open source model of the International Space station that (I know will please some people) unfortunately requires a heck of a lot of work to get it up to the levels of detail I'm working at. Not to mention putting defences and extra modules on it
Other than that anim I'm gathering models and data for the winning end sequence and doing the research on character animation.
That's all folks... Well not really there are various concepts being worked on as well as updating ui elements and pages as needed.

Seriously though, I'm working on the Space station model based on the international space station for the Earth mars animation sequence.
I'm also cobbling together a concept (made from old toilet rolls and double sided sticky tape) for basing the battlescape ui platofrm on. Though in the best blue peter tradition I'm cheating atm and using one made earlier
The Space Station is taking most of my time and energy up atm.
Finally to go with the high res Avenger model (though I've not done much on that for a while) is a to scale sun, earth and moon that I'm going to use the 30m res map on. I really need more processing power My poor hd thrashes when trying to load that map in

Anyway what I'm doing at the mo is more of the same and now that I've had a serious hardware upgrade I can cope with the lager scale stuff, so I'm gonna be working on those 30m res models. Bring on the heat Well at least my P4 kicks out a shed load of the stuff. 81watts to be precise.

I've now finished with the Space station and have created (finally some might say ;P) some animations.
So what now. Well there is some serious learning on my part as I'm now concentrating on character animation so I can (hopefully) do some justice to Drewid's fine storyboard.
Other than that its business as usual
