Ufo 2000 Rules And Regulations

I'm happy to see we finally have a forum specifically for UFO 2000. :) I'll repost the first two kinds of suggested UFO 2000 rules here now:

Type W1 (Specializing in "Fairness")

Maximum # Autocannons (w/HE Ammo): 2

Maximum # Heavy Cannons (w/HE): 1

Maximum # Grenades: 20

Maximum # HE Grenades: 3

 

:uzzi: Un-Restricted Weapons (use as many as you like):

Any regular rifle (rifle, lazer rifle, plazma rifle)

Any regular pistol (pistol, lazer pistol, plasma pistol)

Any hand to hand weapons.

 

:unsure: Banned Weapons:

Anything not mentioned is not allowed (though I think I covered everything).

Proximity Grenades

Oh, this has special rules:

- If a soldier is surrounded by proximity grenades, has no spaces from which to move, the soldier can no longer perform any actions and is considered dead.

- Once all soldiers are considered dead, you lose.

- You can not throw a grenade within the surrounding 2 spaces of a soldier or on top of the soldier, doing so means you automaticly lose. *

- Any time you set off a proximity grenade with any soldier or throwing proximity grenades, you lose.

 

*Demonstrated below. X is the soldier's position, -'s are legal spaces, +'s are illegal.
