Your probably not pursuing enough enemies or spreading out to find them. Also...what sonars do you have setup? How many of them and where?
Seb76
Make sure you build a wide sonar array. Also try looking at the alien activity graph and send a triton in the most active region, it's builtin sonar may catch some alien crafts.HTH,Seb

[NKF]
You might find it easier to start over at this point. You probably should upgrade the main base to a standard + wide array sonar by the second or third month to increase the chances of your sonar detecting submarines passing your starting base. You also need to expand your sonar cover area by building new bases. Start with small listening outposts that consist of just 1 air lock and a small or wide array sonar. I recommend placing the first new base on the opposite side of the globe where you started. You should have enough funds to start building one or two or months into the game. They're very simple so that if they get spotted and are destroyed, they won't cost very much to replace. Later, as you get more funds from selling alien equipment, you can add stores, living quarters and an air-lock to add guards and station a Barracuda at these outposts. As you play, look at the graphs to get a rough idea where to send your Barracudas to check for any possible alien activity. Because activity is very low at the start of the game, they graphs are a very good indication of where there is alien activity beyond your base's area of cover. - NKF
