Radoteur Posted March 30, 2003 Report Share Posted March 30, 2003 I've recently parked a tank in front of the only door to the large scout, and realized that the aliens can't get out. I hear the open door woosh, but they never open the door and fire on my tank. I motion sensored them, and found that all three of the aliens were bunched up next to the door, too. Anyone else find this? But another time, I think the floater opened the door and my tank fired on it, killing the floater, my tank, and a soldier with a stun rod next to the tank. Not sure exactly what's going on, but if it works, I can lock the aliens in the UFO, clear out any that will probably shoot me from behind, then clear the UFO. Guest stewart Posted April 1, 2003 Report Share Posted April 1, 2003 Since tanks can't train or be MCed, I use them to hold the door when I lock-up live disarmed aliens, as part of my artificially-extending-a-ground-mission-so-I-can-train tactic. DeadEye Posted April 21, 2003 Report Share Posted April 21, 2003 Hmm, this doesn't always work for me. I think it might depend on the alien you're facing. I've seen this work for sectoids who seem to perfer to make you come to them but I've had situations where a tank would sit in front of a door only to have a Muton open it and destory it with a auto shot.
