Magnetic Fusion Launcher? Anyone Use This?

Well I been playing xcom2000, many of you have seen me, many of you have suffered the consequences, while others have blown me away :D

 

anyhow i been thinking that if anyone ever uses the fusion launcher? It looks cool, has a nice sound and blows shuckeroonies up..... but it costs 500 and to reload it takes a full turn, so you fire, you have to wait a turn to reload, and fire again, sort of seems impractical to use in the game???

 

 

do any of you use the weapon at all?????? and so, how do you guys compare it to the missile launcher?

 

 

and if no one uses it at all... maybe the programmers can make the cost of the weapon much less so it can be more practical. or something i dunno

i use it when i need somthing that does lots of damage in one turn. I only really take one round tho, its usefullness is mainly in annihilating camped uints or removing tough armour Edited by Sporb

The stun missile is unique.

Heavy Fusin Bomb is unbalanced IMHO:

it costs 350, it's laucher costs 500, does a blast range of 6, and gives 110 damage.

 

Rocket launcher costs 80, Heavy Missile costs 300, and has a bigger blast range, and gives 120 damage.

 

It's 850 vs 380, with better results to the second, this makes magnetic fusion launcher useless.
