I just noticed that our situation is almost exactly like what the Fallout series is going through. think about it.

one great game (Fallout, UFO 1) a great sequel (Fallout 2, X-COM TFTD) a experimental but still good third game (Fallout Tactics, Apoc.)

and then some really crappy action game (Enforcer, Brotherhood of Steel.)

Now the series is getting a First Person reboot.
it's pretty much uncanny.

It's well known that Fallout 3, despite being a big success with the mainstream audience. was shunned by the Fallout fanbase.

I guess it's too early to say, but I don't think we are gonna like the new X-Com game very much...
