While searching for more referances to X-Com on their sight since Wikipedia can be edited by random people.. D:

So, as you all know, we've been acquired by Take2.

Now that we have the support of a much larger company, one of our goals is to have a web site that doesn't, you know, completely suck.

To that end, we're going to take down our lackluster forums until we come up with a decent plan to bring them back on line and support them properly.

-Thanks for your patience

i followed the unreal technology link at the bottom of the wiki page and found this:

Unannounced Title, BioWare

http://www.unrealtechnology.com/html/powered/announced.shtml

so i went to the bioware website and searched their forums for "xcom," and i came up with this:

http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewt...;highlight=xcom

apparently, bioware is producing a game that has similarities to x-com. could this be what the wiki is hinting at? i realize that mass effect is an announced game, but i'm just thinking that the wiki is wrong in some way. i only mentioned the unannounced title to show how i found this.

edit: it might be useful to note that the x-com line was added on feb 25, 2007 by user 3d engineer (look here). seems as though many people have problems with his edits to the unreal engine page (look here).

Turns out Irrational's Australian office is just "over the ditch" from where I live.

And according to their web site, they're hireing.

So, I've posted off my CV, giving the Xenocide project as a reference.

With a bit of luck, I might be able to give you the truth, from the horse's mouth.
