I got the thing to actually work (thanks to the program on these forums) and get to the first screen but mouse is stuck. This is a known problem and I've downloaded the supposed program to fix it...but it doesn't seem to run in win2k

So how do I fix the mouse problem? And after that will I have any other problems? (well, at least did you have any?) I've been wanting to re-play this game for a while but never could get a working version again (won't install off CD) and now here I am, so close yet so very far away.

Suggestions?

So, what exactly did you do with mouse2kv? Did you copy it to your apocalypse folder and put the line in the .bat-file?

Ok update: it doesn't work (surprise surprise)

Ok so I click on the xcomapoc.exe or whateve thte filename is and it gets stuck at the copyright, then I click on the .bat file to see if it's any different and it said something about my SVGA settings (don't remember the correct initials, it hink it was a video setting)

so what now?

There's an SVGA fix you can get from http://www.xcomufo.com/x3faq.html. You'll also probably need the cd-crack, even if you have the real cd. Make sure you use the .bat's to start the game.

if you have the cd, you can use xcom3fix.zip instead of the nocd crack http://www.xcomufo.com/x3dl.html
