If you use Xcomutil's 'hybrid game' option, it converts the tilesets to the proper palette, so you can mix them.So you can't mix and match tiles from XCOM with tiles from TFTD? Arse fez.

IIRC, it converts them to the proper palette but you will get weird color results. For instance, when you use TFTD terrains on an UFO game, the colors will be completely weird because of the conversion.

I can live with that, but I do have a query about MCD limits. I know if you have more than 253 MCDs assigned, it borks, but... does it only bork the tiles that are over the limit? i.e. if you had 300 tiles assigned, would it only bork if you tried to use tiles 254 through 300?
I have no idea of what it would happen. On the original UFO if there's more than 255 node points (the RMP files), the program seems to simply ignore the excess nodes.
