I played the best april fools joke of all time today, I sent an e-mail claiming that I was from the church of scientology to all my friends ROFL , and then I spouted out all of their personal info in the email and some of their deep dark secrets, and said that they were depressed and needed to take a free personality test. Oh man I scared the crap out of them

It also helps to consider the fact that Atari sold the license to all their Microprose stuff to Firaxis years ago, X-Com 1-3 are now effectively abandonware, and I'm not sure Atari can afford lawyers anymore.

And Atari didn't sell the rights - they licensed some of them to Firaxis. Big difference there.
