ATeX, did you ever do anything with that re-recorded Xenocide song that I sent you?
I've gotten better, more real sounding crash cymbal samples now that I could replace the old ones with.

Also if there is any guitar that you'd like to have recorded for other songs, I could take a look at it.

hi!

long time no see idd. I know what u mean. I'm trying to become better every day as well.

To be honest, time is my biggest enemy at the moment. I haven't had enough time to work on the main theme either. And if I do have time, it's for 2-3 hours, which isn't enough to get it going on a decent speed level of composition. Anyways, I'm willing to work on those songs yes. But it will take some time... Not that it matters that much at this moment because Xenocide has a long way to go for development. So we can experiment and learn from each other as long as the sound priority isn't getting high.

What did you have in mind?

Cheers,

Oh, I was talking about the Xenocide song we did long ago, where I did a base with guitar and programmed drums and you added orchestration to it. I think it turned out great and would fit the game at some point. Then my guitar had some strange tuning so it was slightly out of tune with the orchestral parts. I re-recorded the guitars and sent you separate links to the guitars and drum tracks in a private message. It seems you never found the time to reapply the orchestration and remix it however. Or it could be that you did, I haven't had time to follow this forum that much in a while.

Anyway, now I could replace the cymbals in the drum track with better ones and maybe re-record the guitars once again if they're too sloppy played and we find it necessary. It shouldn't take very long for you to add the orchestration since you can just use the old one, right?

If you think the song needs more work we could develop it further. If you think it's no good and don't want to waste your time on it, that's cool too. I thought it sounded great even with the guitars in the wrong tuning though and would love to hear a better version of it.

I could also add some guitar to some other songs if you like. Just tell me what you have in mind and I'll see what I can do.

well... no new compositions with guitar till now and the old one kinda disappeared into smoke when my old Maxtor broke down. Damned! :cussing: I lost every composition made till then. At least, the arrangements were lost. The mixdowns were backed up on some cd's luckily. So, new orchestration is needed. Too bad.

When I have some time, I'll try to work on the song ;)

I don't see any problems with tuning the guitar. I've got a small program called antares autotune. As the name says it already, u can guess what it does :) Amazing VST!!

Any new recordings yet?

cheers,
ATeX
