Prowler2885
For anyone who has seen Cloverfield (though I personally haven't yet), or has done a Wikipedia on it (Like I did). Has anyone noticed something rather unusual about the parasites that come off the Cloverfield monster? According to description and movie clips, they seem to resemble the Chryssalids quite a bit. First, they infect their victim, something is growing in them, or the victim is growing, and eventually they freak out and explode. If more parasites come out of the victims, is that not any different from the Chryssalids? Plus, the parasites are also described to look like crustacean creatures about the size of dogs, which are also swift and capable of climbing walls and infecting their targets. If anyone feels like discussing this, go ahead. This was just something I noticed. Edited January 31, 2008 by Prowler2885
Emerald
I think it's just a coincidence. Besides, the cloverfield parasites were way too easy to kill to be compared to chyrssalids ...
