Awwww come on... Like you haven't ONCE thought of it. How about that time you went inside to make sure that civilian's house was alien free... and found the owner at the door, preventing you from leaving? Edited by Trevelyan

That is what stun rods are for. :) You can make them drop and it will not be counted against you. The other good thing about this, is that the aliens cannot shoot and kill them either (unless they blow them up).

If they wake up later in the mission they are hostile and must be shot to finish the mission... resulting in a "xcom killed civilian" penelty.

You can stun them again :) Mission over, no penalty, civilian saved. Kinda MIB flashy pencil :P

Actually, no, civilians that turn into aliens don't cost any points whatsoever, stunned or killed by you.
