sAdIsTiCmAcHiNe
just found my old game. how do I make ufo2000 pick up the data?
Hobbes
1) Remove/delete your current UFO2000 copy. 2) Install X-COM3) Reinstall UFO2000. You'll be asked if you want UFO2000 to detect X-COM or you can manually specify the location of the X-COM folder.
Brick-To-Face
Uninstall it, then install and specify the ufo directory (directories), there may be away to do it with out uninstalling and installing, but I don't know it. You can backup all your squads, replays, the config file and anything else... Edit: Hobbes, you beat me to the punch. sAdIsTiCmAcHiNe
I figured it out. Just drop game data files into XCOM folder. Why that's in the Windows-only section of the readme idk. I use Linux BTW. anyway, thanks for the help all.

Why that's in the Windows-only section of the readme idk.Could you be more specific (fixing docs is also very important to avoid confusion for other users even if you have solved the problem yourself)? Just checked install instructions and information about using x-com data files with linux is also there: https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ufo2000/trunk/INSTALL
