Syntax Error
The soldier must enter in a room to open a door in XCom games, i think the right click could open door without obliging the soldier to move.
mikker
like in TFTD? Yes, it will be more effective. Mabe even a switch beside the door?

Paladin
Definitely worth it... It's completely stupid to have to enter the door, it's called "Recruits for the Slaughter"... Good way to use motion scanners though. I do have lots of fun opening a door, stepping asside and shooting a rocket through (IC if there's a power source not to be damaged...) Cpl. Facehugger
We are planning to do this.
54x
Besides, it makes much more sense to open a door, chuck a grenade in then run off than it does to step through it gormlessly
Paladin
Exactly... Really stupid the way doors work in XCOM1... We need right-click doors!! (thanks for confirming it, Facehugger, I'll hold you to that : "Huh, let's see if I can expose myself, bring in reaction fire and die horribly in one lesson..." DG_Slider
The PS2 version of X-Com allows this function. You can open the door without going through it. Edited September 3, 2004 by DG_Slider
