[[Micah]]
Can you offer more stats on your nvidia geforce2? and what drivers version are you using for it?
HaJo
I also tried the alpha4-demo on a notebook with some XP-home on it.No idea what kind of video is inside...Upon start, it switched resolution, and then nothing happened, for at least 2-3 minutes.Taskmanager showed 60-70% CPU, and 60-70 MB memory usage. I think a splash-screen at startup would be nice, and some messages like "detected video=x, initiializing y ..."would be even better. Perhaps this info nicely formatted for pasting into a bugreport ? --HaJo
[[Micah]]
The alpha is an alpha which was the implementation of just a few of our ideas for Xenocide. The next alpha is being designed using a more compatible rendering engine that will probably run for you. p.s. The resolution-changing was our splash screen
