How Do You Slow Down The Game?

I'm running it on a 3.2GHz laptop. The battles aren't so much of a problem because I can turn down the movement speed of the characters and projectiles but on the Geoscape even with 5sec time passage it seems to move so fast that I have it set for 5 minutes which makes intercepting UFOs nearly impossible because my reaction speeds can't keep up with them.

 

Is there something that can be done to slow the game down to it's normal running speed?

 

(I'm playing the Collector's Edition version for UFO Defense and TFTD)

There are many programs which can slow the game down. They really just use up a certain percent of your cpu's power to reduce the amount of attention the game gets.

 

Hmm do a google search on CPU slowers. You should find some.
