Pheonix
It's the same problem as: "I only see a blank screen with a menu to the right, but I can hear music. Where is the globe?" I can see the background though, nice. And the FAQ gives a fix for 2000/XP users... But I'm on 98! I downloaded that program anyway, but said "you're not using XP" and exited. NVidia driver, Card unknown (80's). I can see the button's on the menu, but none of the letters. Also, the game switches to 600-800 (which is expected), but the game only displays when nothing else is displayed. Like I have to minimize everything. Still hear music. And the darn things takes 5 minutes to load. (doesn't sound like alot, but you're just sitting there five minutes...) And without words on the buttons, I felt lucky to even close the program. Whenever I click on what seems to be "UFO peadia" button, then it's like I can click anywhere and the pictures will keep going, as if the whole screen is the "next" button. Once again, only pictures, no letters. Finally, when I exit the program, everything stays on 600-800. And I'll have to manually adjust it back. (1024-768) Could anyone tell me how to fix this video problem? Edited November 10, 2004 by Pheonix
[[Micah]]
We can't really help without knowing what kind of video card you have. Also, support for Alpha's 1-5 has been dropped because the next releast will make use of a rendering engine that is not so card- and driver version-dependent. [mindstormmaster]
The minimum requirements for Alpha 1-5 is a GeForce 2. Your card from the 1980s probably does not meet this requirement. Check again when Alpha 6 is released as the new engine will support many more cards.
