Xcom 3 'apocalypse'

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Its been like ages ago eversince I have played X-Com 'Apocalypse' .. now I have a slightly better computer instead of my 486 something ??

Anyway .. I've installed it .. it runs perfectly well ..

UNTIL .. :hammer:

I get to enter a building with my squaddies, and then it just reboots on me. Does it everytime. Is there a remidy for this. Since I would hate to just throw away the CD-Rom because I cant play it anymore.

Hope anyone has an answer.

Thx.

~Jen.

:huh?: hmmmm, did you check the download page, there might be some patches or fixes there, I would have to check.

At least yours runs, my sound card is not listed on Apoc so it will not fully load, crashes for some reason. And I refuse to play without sound, takes to much away from the game, or until I start to suffer from withdrawl. :explode:

EDIT: Here is the link.

Now .. I just experienced the most'weirdest thing. I had (tried) to run X-Com Apoc. under Windows '98 .. but that seemed to keep crashing down on me. Now I thought it would be nice to try Windows Xp (though I think the whole setup stinks) X-Com Apoc .. WORKED !!!

now .. am losing it or what ? :huh?:

Beleive me Jen you are among the luckiest people like some of us here. Alot have had trouble with Xcom, some had the same problems u had and others had problems with the mouse in XP(too slow) and some cant even run the game in xp..

APOC has extreme problems. i guess thats why we dont have alot of apoc players.congrats on the moves you did to made it work  :happybanana:
