Xcomut96.zip Bugged Bad Archive?

I recently re installed my copy of UFO defense CE. And I installed X-ComUtil from the zip named xcomut96.zip it claims to be the 091 version. I created the runxcomw.bat file shortcut and used that to run my game after setting up the settings. But when I go to tactical view i'll get the briefing screen and it'll crash everytime. However If I launch the program using f0dder's loader I have no problems. I can even make changes to xcusetup.exe however without running from runxcomw.bat i have no way of knowing whether the changes were incoprated or not should i reinstall Xcomutil using the xcomut92.zip archive which claims to have the 09 version or what should I do?

If you use f0dder's loader to run XCOM, I don't know if the changes you make in UTIL will be applied. To solve your problem with crashing, when you enter/leave the battlescape and it crashes, you can do one of three things:

1) With the DOS window (the black box) open, hit CTRL+C, and wait a couple seconds.

2) Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, and go to the tab of Task Manager that says "Processes." Find the one called xcopy.exe and end the process. A warning will come up, but just say YES to it.

3) To keep the crash from happening at all, find your RunXcomW.bat file, and open it up with Notepad. Go to the end of every line that has the "xcopy" command in it, and add the following to the end (after a space):

/y

Whenever it crashes now, after a couple seconds, the game will automatically move onto the battlescape or geoscape (whichever it was going into when it crashed).
