Ok I've worked a little on the "second" track, tweaked this and that, added some bass blablabla

 

tell me what you think (this is kinda intended for the equip screen)

 

oh remember that it won't be as repetitive as it is right now, I still have the progression to make... this mp3 is kinda like the song's "peak"...

Regarding the re-edited peice, I like the additonal voice. Can you try quietly in the background throwing in some appropriate triads, have their tone continuous and mixed with a tiny tiny bit of white noise. I'm not sure of the key (because I don't have perfect pitch, but lets say your main note in the piece is an A. Have the triad for when it is front and center be A Minor, then when it goes up the half step for a second play a G Minor, then when it goes down a half step for a second play either an Ab Augmented or G# Diminished (try both). If you don't understand what these triads are PM me and I'll define them for you, if you do let me know what that main note is.

 

I only had a few seconds to check out your other pieces at the site so I only tried Mensuration, which was hillarious, and Klavier which I think would be awsome for a Snakeman Terrormission. Those sounds at the beginning totally made me think of chryssalids!!!!!

I think vortex(3rd) would be cool for those messages, that tells you about alien activity arround crash site, blah blah blah....

 

Overall good music you make.

I agree with stewart about klavier and klavier2.5

I can here those chryssallids

 

I also like atmosdemo. I can imagine a battlescape with a more sparse version of this. (no drums and half the other noises with more reverb.) then when the shooting starts ramp it up and kick in the drums. Manic.

I was always a big fan of the music in TFTD. it was very empty and sparse. Occasional chilling chords and spooky noises. Done by John Broomhall. Talented guy.

Still listening, on my headphones at work :-)

This is what the pieces made me think of, not in any order.

 

Trucmachinweir - definitely music for attacking an alienbase. :uzzi: :alienoooh:

 

Psyched_1.7 - sounds geoscape to me. IMHO

 

Klavier - chryssaldis

 

Klavier_2.5 - battlescape - chryssalids or sectoids

 

Malevolence - urban terror mission. (especially if big drums kick in as well, then quiet bit for hunting.)

 

PseudoTechno - geoscape interception. (locked on)

 

Psyched(Second) - would fit anywhere. terror mission when hunting, or geoscape, doing base stuff.

 

Atmosdemo.-!!!!!:wub: This is GREAT. Battlescape fighting, an "emptier" version for battlescape hunting...........

 

Entry - geoscape again. I really like the space in this.

 

drifting - not sure where this would go.

 

vortex - menu's into game.

 

xenocide scene 1&2 - lovely - very spooky - geoscape? really like this one.
