killtoris
Hello everyone, i recently revisited xcom 2 and have been doin well and enjoying the game. However i ran into what seems to be a common problem where i need a live deep one in order to progress to better armor and ships. I have waited for a long time trying to get one and i am at a point where i just want to add it to my alien containment. What i am hoping for is a step by step process on how to fix this problem. i am currently running the original cd version of the game through dosbox if that helps. Thanks in advance, Killtoris
[NKF]
That's going to be a difficult one. Deep-Ones are quite rare if you don't catch them early on and the Gill-Men get phased out and almost never appear again when the Lobstermen and Tasoth get preference. I find that if you reach that point and you're well into the game (Lobsterman abound), it's easier to just start the game from scratch and go all out for an early capture at the first Gill-Man land mission you come across. Everything you picked up in your previous attempt will not have gone to waste, and will be a useful springboard into your new campaign. If that's not an option, go ahead and add one with an editor. But that said, if you choose to stick with it, you may meet them later on when the mixed crews show up. I don't know what the requirements are for mixed crews, except that they are the last "race" to appear after the four primary races. Sometimes you will find Deep-Ones with them on land missions. I had this happen once, and it's not nice at all. - NKF

[NKF]
XComufo's file section for TFTD is a bit short on files, but you could try Strategycore's TFTD file section. Just from recollection, The X-Com 2 Multi Editor has a containment editor. It's easy enough to use and has menus that'll help you run through the steps. While you're there, you might also want to grab Bladefirelight's Research Tree Fixit, which is just above the multi-editor. I recommend this 'just in case'. - NKF
