Don't know if anyone still pays attention to it after all this time without news but I'm reviewing the existing material and completing new chapters. Time of completion? Ask the aliens ;)

I look forward to reading some new material. Keep us updated on your progress! =b

The Mr. Grognard of X-COM

Zombie: Empirical data's your only man, when formulating a research plan.
A soldier's death is never in vain if it makes the formula more plain.
A few dozen make a better case for refining that third decimal place.
They call me Zombie because I don't sleep, as I slowly struggle to climb this heap,
of corpses, data points, and trials, but from the top - I'll see for miles!

OK, chapter 8 is almost ready to release (I've also done a rewrite of the previous material for consistency - that's what's taking most of my time so far). Chapters 9 and 10 are about 75% complete - the issue now is that I've decided to take a few new approaches to the entire story and I still have to iron out the details.

Overall, now it is starting to feel as a different story from the Unknown Menace, which is something that pleases me the most.

I had to make a pause because my writing retreat ended (2 and a half months living at the beach) and I had no time to pick it up again. But I like the changes I've made, it's just a matter of getting more time available.

Ah, I see. Well, thanks for the update. :)

Must've been nice living at the beach for nearly 3 months though, eh? =b
