Don't know if anyone still pays attention to it after all this time without news but I'm reviewing the existing material and completing new chapters. Time of completion? Ask the aliens

The Mr. Grognard of X-COM
Zombie: Empirical data's your only man, when formulating a research plan.
A soldier's death is never in vain if it makes the formula more plain.
A few dozen make a better case for refining that third decimal place.

OK, chapter 8 is almost ready to release (I've also done a rewrite of the previous material for consistency - that's what's taking most of my time so far). Chapters 9 and 10 are about 75% complete - the issue now is that I've decided to take a few new approaches to the entire story and I still have to iron out the details.
Overall, now it is starting to feel as a different story from the Unknown Menace, which is something that pleases me the most.

I had to make a pause because my writing retreat ended (2 and a half months living at the beach) and I had no time to pick it up again. But I like the changes I've made, it's just a matter of getting more time available.
