MadTaco Posted November 28, 2003 Report Share Posted November 28, 2003 I recently bought this game since the X-Com inspiration really called out to me. It is surprisingly not that bad of a game, it's just simply not X-Com. I really like the huge variety of weapons (there is an automatic shotgun and my god do I love the thing) and the random tactical mission generator isn't too bad either. The UFO crash sites awesome in urban areas, it shows where it tore down houses and really breaks up roadways, etc. It is lacking in strategic depth, however, it's basically however many men you can get to shoot at one creature (although base defense missions I really LOVE to do, they do make you think a bit because your soldiers get spread out over the base like in the old games). The graphics are pretty nice, especially with a camera mod so you can zoom way in and be in first person. So has anyone else tried this game out?
