Cvs Password From Sourceforge?

I can't wait to start looking at some of the code, but I'm running into a problem with getting code via CVS from SourceForge. I'm using TortoiseCVS to checkout from the CVSROOT of :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/xenocide/, but it says "cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from cvs.xenocide.sourceforge.net: M -!- Project map lookup failed ()" and tries to ask me for a password. Am I doing anonymous access wrong or is anonymous access not allowed anymore? If anyone can help me, it'll be really appreciated. Thank you.

Did you try following the directions in this topic?

http://www.xcomufo.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2859

That's exactly what I followed. When I used the CVSROOT that's specified in the message, the CVS server tried asking me for a password.

The exact string I used for CVSROOT is:

:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/xenocide/

And I used xenocide as the module name.

Tortoise CVS connected, but the server wanted a password from me.

The protocol is, of course, pserver. The server I'm connecting to is cvs.xenocide.sourceforge.net, and the repository folder is /cvsroot/xenocide/

Just press enter, anonymous do not need a password... If you cant, I can always ask Micah if I can make a Server script to download it on the machine, compress it and be available in the Xenocide Site.

Micah can you execute programs in your Xenocide box???

Greetings

Thanks everyone. It turns out it's just me being stupid. :) I added a trailing slash after "xenocide" for the directory. I took the slash out and it works now.
